I am Type-A

For those of you who know me in person, my personality is totally Type-A. I like to be scheduled, I’m a planner and I love organizing.

I’ve always known that I was particular. Even in my younger years when I would want each of my toys in their very own spots and meticulously arrange things so I could use them logically. Now that same control gears my schedule, allows me to run two websites, be a stay-at-home mom of two busy little girls, a rockin’ wife, and have a pretty clean house. Yes, sometimes I’m high-strung, and yes organizing closets and rooms de-stresses me, and that’s just me.

As a parent, I try not to overwhelm my kids or stress my perfectionism on them and much to my surprise I have found that 4 year-old Miss A is none-the-less just like her momma. She is exact and wants things a certain way. No matter how hard I’ve kept my “nit-pickiness” to myself, no matter how much we try to influence or not influence our children’s personalities sometimes they just may surprise us.

I catch myself being how I’d like to describe “a little much” and someitmes will adjust accordingly, but other times it really is what keeps me going at the rate I need to to “do it all.” So I confess, I am Type-A and proud of it {most days.}

Not only am I claiming my Type-A-edness, but next week I’ll be attending a conference entitled, “Type-A Parent Conference.” Yes, that’s right, there is a conference for people like me, {and some not as crazy too}. Actually it’s a blogger conference, that I’m super excited to attend.
