I’m a self-confessed choco-holic, I’ve said it time and time again, and I adore milk chocolate and some dark chocolates. I had the opportunity to test out the new candy bars from Equal Exchange, a pioneer and U.S. market leader in Fair Trade since 1986 and a full service provider of organic coffee, tea, chocolate, cocoa, olive oil and other products.
These organic, fairly traded candy bars are made with delicious ingredients grown by small farmers in co-ops in Peru and Paraguay. In general, 100% of Equal Exchange products are fairly traded, benefiting more than 40 small farmer co-operatives in 25 countries and around the world.
In case you didn’t know, October is Fair Trade and Co-op month and in honor of this great month, Equal Exchange has rolled out some new products!!
These brand new, Equal Exchange, regular size candy bars come in three yummy flavors: milk chocolate peanut butter, milk chocolate crisp (with puffed rice and quinoa), and dark chocolate fruit and nut (with raisins and almonds). Although the one DaddyB and I really enjoyed was the milk chocolate crisp, how cool that it’s made with quinoa (Keen-Wah {the MommyB phonetic spelling}). g). The suggested retail price is $1.59 per bar. {not bad!}
Equal Exchange also has these delightful gluten-free minis that are milk chocolate with a hint of hazelnut {which they also have in larger candy bar sizes). I could eat these little bites all day long. Plus, they’re perfect for little Trick-or-Treaters, holiday candy bowls, and stocking stuffers {yes I am thinking ahead.}
Make sure you check out Equal Exchange’s NEW candy bars and other great fair trade products on their website: http://www.equalexchange.coop/equal-exchange-candy-bars and check out their cool Facebook candy bar app where you can get candy discounts and possibly even win some chocolate. Mmmmm, chocolate.
I received samples in order to test and write about the product featured in this post. How else could I give my honest opinions and thoughts of the product itself??!?! All opinions expressed in this post are my own opinions, yours may vary.

I’ll check out their website! I would love the chance to win free chocolate!
