I recently was given the opportunity to try out two different whitening products. What kind of mom doesn’t want to look better and improve both her skin and her teeth? I know I do and that’s why I tried Porcelana Skin Lightening Cream, and Topol Plus Toothpaste.
I’m not going to lie, I was a litte nervous about trying a, “skin lightening cream,” because I have a friend who had sun spots from pregnancy who had to bleach her cheeks, they were red and she said it hurt a little (she did not use Porcelana Skin Lightening Cream, rather a skin bleach, not exactly the same thing.) Anyway, it got me a little worked up, plus I would label my skin as sensitive, occasionally I’ll break out just from using a new lotion. So much to my delight, Porcelana’s Day and Night Skin Lightening Creams were very gentle on my skin.

I’ve always been the fair-skinned girl who gets all blotchy during exercise or after crying. I wouldn’t describe myself as even-toned skin tone at all and after my crazy high school and college TAN-tastic years I acquired some extra freckles and spots on my face as well. So needless to say trying Porcelana Skin Lightening Cream was a good choice for me. Although my spots aren’t dramatic I did notice improvement on the “balance” of my complexion and some of the darker spots seemed to lighten up after using Porcelana Skin Lightening Cream Day in the morning and Procelana Skin Lightening Cream Night right before I went to bed. I also noticed it made my skin a little softer than normal as well, a much welcomed side effect.
Porcelana’s Daytime version contains sunscreen to prevent continued skin discoloration, and antioxidants too. The best part is you can apply it to a fresh, clean, face and put your makeup right on top. Their Night cream has moisturizers, and vitamins to restore your skin while you sleep. I would definitely recommend both creams to anyone trying to get rid of discoloration from the sun, age, or even pregnancy. It’s a great alternative to bleaching and is good for your skin!
I’m also the person who orders the same exact thing at restaurants, so I’m not really a huge fan of trying too many new things, in this case a new toothpaste. But for the sake of my teeth, and the dark drinks that I ingest, I thought trying this new whitening toothpaste, Topol Plus Toothpaste would be a good idea for me and people like me.

After using Topol Plus Toothpaste, I’m not really sure there is a huge improvement on making my teeth whiter, but I did notice that is maintaining my color and not getting darker thankfully! I enjoy the taste and think it cleans just as well as the leading whitening brands out there. My mouth always feels fresh after I brush with Topol and it’s less expensive than some of the whitening specific brands out there, so definitely worth a try!
Topol Plus Toothpaste is known for fighting plaque to keep stains from coming back, preventing cavities with fluoride, and uses a unique polishing system to help remove pesky stains. I would recommend Topol Plus Toothpaste if you’re looking for a paste that will whiten but stand up to your cavity fighting brand as well, often whitening toothpastes leave that part of oral care out. I appreciate that Topol does both functions.

What beauty products do you swear by?

Did you apply the Porcelana cream to your whole face or did you just treat the discolored area? I just bought the night cream but have been skeptical as to how to use it. Thankss!
Hello Jennyfer, I used Porcelana cream on my entire face. Hope you enjoy the product. Best wishes.
Hi, I bought the night cream and I’ve only applied it once to my face and arms. But i’m not quite sure this cream is what I need specifically for my problem. My face and arms have a slightly visible tan which i’m desperately trying to get rid of and someone suggested I bought the cream. But i’m not sure if the cream is intended to target only small dark spots or if I can actually use it to get rid of my tan. Am I wasting my time?
@whymustflowersdie Hey there, I could be wrong, I am not a dermatologist, but I think melatonin and a tan are different, so it could be the reason Porcelana isn’t working for you. I believe that a tan is actually dead skin cells raising to the surface. If you are trying to get rid of your tan I have heard showering more often works, but try not to overdo it and stress your skin out, or I suggest Sally Hansen Airbrush products to even out the rest of your skin, it’s temporary and blends nicely. Good luck!!!
