Tide Stain Savers Save The Big Game

Tide Stain SaversToday is National Celebrate-A-Stain Day {not really!!}. I’m not talking about the band, famous stained glass windows, or the commune in France, I’m talking about a stain on cloth fabric. In honor of this spotty holiday I wanted to let you know about some famous and infamous stains throughout history and how they play an important role in our lives, thus the reason we wouldn’t want to remove them!

Art by Amelia Fais Harnas, where she uses red wine to create masterpieces and art by Red Hong made with coffee stains.

“Food” stained gifts created by Zazzle.com show off the latest stain wear.

The Friends episode where Monica tries to find out if someone stole her jeans by looking for their signature ink stain.

Of course you have the Shroud of Turin, aka the famous cloths that were stained with Jesus’ blood.

Do you have a personal stain favorite to celebrate?? Or an article of clothing that you just can’t wash because you don’t want that lucky stain to disappear??

Whether it is a stain that you got on the first date with your spouse or a peanut butter stain that resembles Elvis, some stains may actually be worth keeping. Maybe not, but it’s this “insight” that has inspired Tide’s hilarious new infomercial spoof for “Stain Savers” and a social media program called “Save it! Or Wash it in Tide!”

SSintro

On January 21st Tide released the following Stain Savers infomercial video as a teaser to its upcoming Super Bowl ad, it’s pretty funny check it out:

Head to Tide’s Facebook and Twitter to see more messes, spots, and stains and vote on whether you would “Save it!” or “Wash it in Tide!”

Tide’s Stain Saver Super Bowl ad will air during the 3rd quarter of the big game and feature both the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. So make sure you tune in!!
