A Bunny Filled Review

Max and RubyIn Scholastic Storybook Treasures; The Rosemary Wells Collection, 8 beloved stories come to life. You’ll enjoy watching 2 DVDs full of the original Max and Ruby stories plus newer family favorites, “Noisy Nora,” and “Emily’s First 100 Days of School,” included.

Max and Ruby, Ruby and Max…if you’ve ever watched their videos or show on television you basically know all the words to the song. Little Miss A loves these two bunnies. I actually wrote about them forever ago wondering where their parents are, but that’s another topic.

We loved all 2.5 hours plus of Rosemary Wells stories, but our favorites are, “Max’s Chocolate Chicken,” where silly Max gobbles up the Easter chicken while hiding from his big sister Ruby…hopefully Baby C doesn’t get any ideas from mischievous little Max.

“Noisy Nora,” became one of our new loves as well, in fact we watched it three times in a row. It was hard not to laugh at little Nora, she sure would give Max a run for his money. Perhaps Rosemary Wells should write a book entitled, Noisy Nora meets Mischievous Max. If this ever becomes a book you know where the credit goes!

Bonus features include stories in Spanish, read along to music, interviews with Rosemary Wells herself and much more. If your child loves Max and Ruby in any medium this is a great set to pick up. Check out Scholastic’s website for more information: http://www.newkideo.com/

  • umm, can’t say i’d be buying this. i really can’t stand max & ruby. it is the one tv show that truly bothers me. are max & ruby’s parents anywhere in any of these episode’s? 😉

  • Always wonder where max and ruby’s parents are? That’s just strange. My kids love it. I think max is a brat sometimes though but it’s not a bad show.

  • We all wonder where, kids parents are today….. But thank God, Max and Ruby has a awesome grandmother who seems to always be a phone call away. I love this show I have watched it since 1999 and own several dvds of the show. And yes, my children love the show as well, its’ been watched in my family by three children oldest now 17, 10, and 3. I hope they will make this show for many more seasons. Thanks.
