Jason’s Deli Catering For Entertaining

This is a sponsored post with Jason’s Deli, all opinions are my own.

I love holiday entertaining, the sound of people laughing and getting together to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company really warms my heart.

What I don’t love as much is figuring out the food aspect of hosting parties. I never know what to make or how much food I’ll need. To be honest, it stresses me out a little just thinking about it. This time of year it’s so much nicer when get togethers are stress and hassle-free. Don’t you agree??

I’ve teamed up with one of our family favorites, Jason’s Deli on their “Catering for Entertaining” Campaign to share with you how easy it is to host special events and treat your guests.

We love Jason’s Deli’s and their healthy food philosophy and now they’ve turned decades of hospitality, catering and delivery into a new service – Catering for Entertaining. Jason’s Deli brings wholesome, affordable foods directly to your party, so you have one less thing on your to-do list. Their goal is to be your catering service for holidays, retirement parties, birthday parties or any upcoming social events you may have.

Placing your order simple. Order with ease on their mobile app, online or call a location near you. When you order on the mobile app or online you have 24/7 access to your account, can create new orders or edit recent orders. You also earn Deli Dollar rewards! Another great option is pick up or delivery, I prefer delivery when I’m hosting so it’s one less thing for me to worry about.

Set up is a breeze, use Jason’s Deli downloadable table tent cards to tell your guests what goodies they will be enjoying and keep food in the catering containers or easily transfer Jason’s Deli to your own serving dishes for a little extra Christmas pizzazz.

My favorite part, besides knowing that we are eating yummy food without all the junk {dyes, artificial trans fats and flavors, processed MSG, and high-fructose corn syrup} is that the clean-up is almost non-existent, leaving me with plenty of time and energy to enjoy my company.

At a recent get-together with friends we were able to enjoy several great catering options.

The Kids Party Pack where children can grab fruit, veggies, and a healthy sandwich {super simple and a crowd-pleaser} for a well-balanced party lunch.

I highly recommend the Italian Pasta Salad was fresh, delicious and brought color to our meals. Plus I feel like this is a dish that everyone will love.

The Modern Meat and Cheese Package is one of my favorite offerings because it’s even better than an antipasto platter, my favorites are the olives, roasted red peppers and the basil pesto aioli is a huge hit with the masses. The crunchy garlic toasties and flatbread complete this platter. It also comes with an amazing Brownie Duo that includes fudge-walnut and peanut butter brownies.

I personally can’t have a gathering without a Fresh Fruit Tray and Fresh Veggie Tray and Jason’s Deli offers an amazing selection for each. These, in my opinion, are fresher and more plentiful with a wider selection of fruits and vegetables than a store-bought version. The trays were overflowing with plump strawberries and the ranch dressing was delicious over crunchy veggies including the zucchini.

Treat your guests with delicious Jason’s Deli’s Cake Bites. Our guests loved the display of chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet treats. You could also easily package these up and give them as party favors or deliver a whole tray to your favorite teacher or neighbor.

These are only a few of the many packages that Jason’s Deli has on their Catering For Entertaining menu. If you’re hosting a get together, I strongly encourage you to check out the many different packages and offerings they have. Not only will it save you the stress of figuring out the food details, but it will free you up to enjoy special occasions and gatherings.

It’s an Art Party Review – Charlotte

If nothing else is true it’s that the B girls {myself included} love a good arts ‘n crafts project. Even better why not invite our friends to join us for an art party. Robin from It’s an Art Party was awesome enough to reach out after hosting a party with our friends over at Best Crowe’s Nest.

It's An Art Party Logo

We know what it’s like to be new at school having switched schools two years ago and always love to host Summer play dates and get-togethers so the returning children can see each other and new students can meet their classmates before school starts to help the new school jitters. As soon as Robin approached me I knew this would be the perfect fit for an art party.

We chose a couple art activities that Robin offers, {for her full list check out her website at itsanartparty.com} and rented a park pavillion. Though we had a little windy weather, the kids had a blast and Robin was a great instructor, teaching them some new techniques most of them had never used before.

The kids had a blast watercoloring using salt and their creations turned out so pretty.

The kids were also able to make some fun bubble paint creations, the wind made this a little more challenging but the kids loved this art activity.

Overall our get-together was a big success, the kids had a great time creating fun art and running around on the playground while socializing with new and returning classmates. I am so thankful that Robin was able to come and give the class a memorable back-to-school experience.

It’s An Art Party specializes in birthday parties, but you can hire them for any of your upcoming events. We really loved Robin’s care and instruction, and best of all set-up and clean-up are a part of her services.

How to Show Your #disneyside Princess Style

It’s no secret that we love to have parties and playdates, but having two girls a princess party is a must! We’ve thrown a Sofia the First Princess party, and a Princess Birthday party for Lil’ C and of course many princess dress-up parties in our time.

Realizing that all of our #disneyside attendees were going to be girls, {we wish we could have invited millions of friends but with the party limits and space inside our house, only Disneyland could have held us all}, our obvious choice for party theme was a princess party. Don’t worry though, we had plenty of Mickey, Minnie, and the gang too.

How to Show your #disneyside Princess Style MommyB

Here’s our recipe for a great #disneyside party:

A Spoonful of Beautiful Princesses:

and some Disney pals, including one of the new Disney Princess Palace Pets exclusively from Build-a-Bear Workshop. Pumpkin, who is Cinderella’s Palace Pet friend can now be made at Build-a-Bear Workshop and you can win a Build-A-Bear gift card at the end of this post to make your own!

Our snacks included:

  • Disney Princess Fruit Snacks and “Snow White” bunny gummies
  • Pepperoni and Ritz cracker Mickey heads (with cheese because every mouse loves cheese)
  • Pink Princess Punch {aka strawberry lemonade} in our Mickey-fied Aladdin mason jar.
  • Mickey themed cupcake liners filled with Craisins
  • Hidden Mickey kid-friendly snacks and veggies in black round bowls
  • Hidden Mickey cupcakes*
  • Mini Mickey cupcakes*
  • #Disneyside Mickey cookies*
  • Mickey chocolate cake pops *

* Thanks to Cupcrazed Cakery for providing the delicious baked goods, the moms and princesses loved them and even got to take their cake pops home, some of them shared with siblings too! These treats were amazing!

A dash of decorations, crafts, games, and goodie bags:

Our guests got their photos taken in front of the Mickey and Gang Step and Repeat, chose their favorite Disney Princess tattoo, made Disney inspired t-shirts from Hanes brand, {of course most of the shirts featured Mickey and favorite princesses}, listened to the Disney Frozen soundtrack, played Disney trivia and Disney Bingo, and of course left the party with some pretty cute purple and pink princess swag including headband crowns, star wand lollipops, and a variety of Disney goodies.

We had so much fun with our friends and had a blast showing our princess #disneyside. I can’t wait to take the girls to Disneyland as a part of the Disney Social Media Moms Conference in April. They will be beyond excited to visit and DaddyB and I can’t wait either.

We want to know, how do you show your #disneyside???

As promised, here’s your chance to show your #disneyside with Build-a-Bear Workshop, enter to win a $25 gift card and be sure to check out their new Disney Princess Palace Pets friends.

Easy Entertaining Tips for the Holidays

Thank you Swiffer Bissell Steamboost for sponsoring this post.

I don’t know about you, but I love celebrating my holidays surrounded by amazing people I love and care about. Whether it’s a family get together or friends coming over for a night in, or even a holiday pajama party with the kiddos, we enjoy opening our home to others.

While I would love to say I’m a Mary {enjoying the conversation and company}, more often than not, I am a Martha {wanting to make sure everything is in it’s place, clean and neat}. The older I get, the more I realize that the people visiting my home don’t care if I dusted my baseboards or the inside of my oven is sparkling. Of course being me, I want my home to be clean and neat, but it doesn’t need to be sparkling.

Easy Entertaining Tips for the Holidays MommyB.jpg

Instead of stressing myself out over cleaning my home, I’ve decided that I’m going to take less time cleaning and more time enjoying my company, but I need to come up with some tips to help me be a good hostess, while achieving this goal.

Holiday Entertaining MommyB

Here are some easy entertaining tips for the holidays that I came up with that may help you be a Mary instead of a Martha too.

Bissell Happy Holidays.jpg1. Use cleaning products that will cut my cleaning time and get the job done.

I recommend the Swiffer Bissell Steamboost, it’s lightweight (so your arms won’t feel like jelly when you are done mopping), easy to put together, and works AMAZINGLY!!! I used this right before a big play date and the floors were sparkling, I could see it removing the gunk from my floors as I used it.

2. Use white dishware and serving dishes.

Using all white dishware not only allows you to dress up your dishes with ribbon and other table decor without being too much of an eye sore, but it also gives your table a streamline look rather than hodge podge, plus you can use them anytime of year, not just during the holiday they represent.

3. Buy food don’t make it.

Unless you are hosting a dinner party (and even then you may want to consider some pre-made food items), consider buying snacks and food from the store. Less work and clean-up for you and will limit the amount of tasks on your to-do list before your guests arrive.

4. Tidy, don’t clean.

Remember that your home is probably going to need a cleaning after your guests arrive as well, so spend your time cleaning counters, floors, and moving clutter rather than focusing on the small details. I also highly suggest, moving extra toys or furniture to the garage or another empty room in your home temporarily to help make your home look more clean.

5. Shower and dress after everything is done.

I’ve gotten ready before cleaning and moving furniture before parties and get togethers before and ended up a sweaty mess, so needless to say I’ve learned my lesson and try to save getting myself ready for the party for very last. I also try to get most things ready the night before so I don’t have a lot of big work to do the day of.

So thanks to my tips and tools of the trade, I go from:

Moe’s Southwest Grill® “Mini Moe’s™ Birthday Party Package”

I received complimentary food and product to host this event.

Presents, decorations, cupcakes, songs, games, and sometimes even pinatas are pieces of successful birthday parties. In most cases so is food. Some parents theme the food around the birthday party theme, which is awesome, but does take some time, research, and also energy.

I enjoy planning out parties whether they are my girls’ birthday parties, play dates or brand events, but sometimes there are times when I can’t or don’t want to focus on all the little details of the party and that’s when I call for the reinforcements.

As a Mombassador for Moe’s Southwest Grill® I’ve been able to enjoy Moe’s food at their retail locations, as well as catered events. Each time Moe’s caters I receive so many compliments from friends and attendees on how great the service and food are.

Moes Southwest Grill Coloring Pages MommyB

For this event, we hosted a fun tie-dye pinata party where the attendees tie-dyed t-shirts, enjoyed water table play, colored Moe’s Southwest Grill® themed coloring pages, enjoyed delicious catering by Moe’s Southwest Grill® (even our friend with nut allergies didn’t have to worry), and had fun breaking the pinata filled with candy. Each kiddo left with a fun-filled goodie bag and a full tummy.

Check out all the fun we had:

Moes Catering Tie Dye Party MommyB

We had a blast celebrating and Moe’s made it really easy for us to be able to enjoy the party, and not worry about pre-heating the oven, or calling in for pizzas. The delivery was simple, and set up quickly, and we were able to dig in and enjoy. I love Moe’s Southwest Grill® because both parents and kids enjoy their food, so it’s a crowd pleaser for sure.

Now here’s the good news: Moe’s Southwest Grill® is hosting a “Mini Moe’s™ Birthday Party Package” giveaway. Enter to win this package that includes catering for up to 20 people, decorations and party favors. The contest runs now through September 16, 2013. Enter by heading to Club Mini Moe’s here: clubminimoes.com (No purchase necessary). While you’re there make sure you check out special offers, kids’ menu, games and more!!

Good luck and make sure you tell your friends, if they win they may just invite you over for a Moe’s party you won’t want to miss!!

Celebrate Milestones with Build-A-Bear

It seems like when our children are growing up there are so many milestones to be celebrated. When they’re babies we look forward to them holding their head up, sleeping through the night, and rolling over. Then as toddlers we welcome the day they walk, talk, and their personality shines, and the milestones continue.

As my girls grow I find myself in some pretty big milestone times. Lil’ C will be 3 at the end of March and becoming a big girl. We’re working on potty training, getting a big girl bed, but mostly saying, “goodbye” to paci {her pacifier.} Miss A on the other hand is now in Kindergarten, and as of today has lost 2 of her baby teeth. Those are some pretty big milestones if you ask me. And I’m not the only one who has great things to celebrate. As I talk to a lot of my friends and even asked some of you via my Facebook and Twitter accounts, your children are growing and accomplishing some pretty awesome things too.

I love celebrations, big or small, and enjoy making my girls feel special during those moments, in hopes that they’ll be excited at their progress and be able to hold those memories dear too. As I thought more about celebrating milestones my thoughts kept returning to one of our favorite places to celebrate, Build-A-Bear Workshop®. In the past we have taken our girls for different occasions, but never experienced a true Build-A-Bear® party.

Thanks to Build-A-Bear Workshop® we were able to invite some friends who were also celebrating milestones to experience and rejoice in their accomplishments. Let me introduce you to our friends and tell you a little more about their milestones.

Lil’ C, who you may recognize as the youngest representative of the B Family, celebrated giving up, or saying, “goodbye” to her pacifier. We brought one of her pacis and she chose whether to put it in her bear’s hand, foot, or tummy. She chose Rainbow Bear’s {the name she gave her bear}, foot, so she could feel it whenever she wanted to. In celebrating this milestone it made the transition a little easier for her and is a big step towards “big girlhood”.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Paci

Miss A, is Lil’ C’s big sister, and obviously my daughter. When I approached Build-A-Bear Miss A had lost her first tooth, in the process of waiting for the date of our party she lost another! Losing a tooth for us, was a huge deal because it is one of the biggest physical changes of a Kindergartner. If you are celebrating a lost tooth you could purchase a pouch for the tooth, or put the tooth inside the bear if you choose.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Tooth

Miss P, actually had two pretty big milestones. She’s a potty-trained girl, which for some of us parents, getting through potty-training is quite the challenge and either way, it’s a great accomplishment and totally worth celebrating. P also recently started preschool, what a big girl!!

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Potty Train

Miss T is growing by the minute, just like most Kindergartners she’s diving into academics. When a child learns to read and starts to enjoy it and want to read to their parents that’s a huge success. Miss T celebrated her accomplishment with a pink Build-A-Bear® Hello Kitty® she had been eyeing for a while.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Reading

Becoming a sibling is pretty cool, in fact, when both my girls arrived my mom went to Build-A-Bear® and made them their very first teddy bears. Miss A got to help make a bear for Lil’ C when I was in the hospital after her delivery, a special milestone indeed. Now it’s Miss L’s turn to be a big sister, her mom is expecting her little brother this summer and she’s elated for him to join her family. It’s always nice to celebrate both the baby, but also the new big sister or big brother too!

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Big Sister Brother

Last but not least, some milestones can be a little bit scary or cause children to be a little nervous, especially when it involves some pretty big changes. When your child experiences life changes sometimes they’ll need a little extra comforting that a stuffed friend from Build-A-Bear® can provide, or some may deserve a reward for being such a big kid. Miss S recently moved to North Carolina, and her transition has been great. Miss S has been making new friends and enjoying discovering Charlotte, now she has a new friend to accompany her.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Moving

As I mentioned above, we had never enjoyed the experience of a Build-A-Bear® party.Moms and Dad (namely DaddyB – big props) helped the girls choose the animal of their choice, which they then named, stuffed, washed, and dressed. Not surprisingly, each girl chose an outfit and shoes from Build-A-Bear’s® Disney Princess line to make their special friend look as fancy as ever.

BAB Milestone Collage

I was specifically impressed with the way that our Build-A-Bear® party associate, Michael, was professional, but moreover fun {which wasn’t necessarily a surprise, but enjoyed by all}. He kept the girls engaged and giggling the entire time, and even got the parents involved and dancing too! As a mom who’s thrown a bunch of parties, I know first-hand that it’s a challenge to make sure all of the kids are entertained. Michael made sure he gave the girls who were not building their stuffed animal games to play, and activities to participate in which kept them in one area of the store and gave us the perfect party experience. See for yourself:

All of the parents commented on how much fun they and their child had during our party and it was one of the best, {if not best ever} ways to celebrate our children’s milestones. If your child is about to celebrate a milestone, or accomplished something awesome, consider taking them to Build-A-Bear® to pick out a new friend, or chat with your friends and have a Build-A-Bear® Milestone party of your own, the cost is no more than what you would pay for the items on your own, and you can make it an even bigger event for everyone to enjoy and remember.

Head to Build-A-Bear®’s website www.buildabear.com for more information or shop around and make sure you’re following them on Facebook and Twitter for fun updates, contests, and the newest friends in stores and online.

Big thanks again to Build-A-Bear® Workshop for the great hospitality and for helping us celebrate milestones. I was not compensated for this post, and all opinions expressed by myself, parents, or children involved in this party are honest, real opinions

Party Planning Tips for The Little Gym

Little Gym of Huntersville & Lake Norman

CupcakeLil’ C’s birthday party planning has begun, and I’m thinking that some of you have probably started trying to figure out what your children’s birthday parties will look like this year. Will you have an intimate party at home? Do you like hosting the party at a fun kid’s spot and avoiding clean-up? Maybe you do both, {if so then wowzers!!}

In the B family, we’ve done a little bit of both, although often, a small party winds up being larger than expected. Much to my husband’s surprise though I’ve been able to get our guest lists down to around 8 children or so, which is good for me.

One of the most memorable birthday parties that we hosted was Miss A’s fourth birthday that we held at The Little Gym of Huntersville/Lake Norman. {Did you know that you don’t have to be a member or enrolled in classes at The Little Gym to host your party there???} Here are some posts from that party {so you can see why it was a blast.}

Miss A’s Birthday Bash

Little Gym Birthday Party

Instead of telling you the amazing reasons to book a party for your child at The Little Gym of Huntersville/Lake Norman, I figured I would give you tips for party planning at this very cool location.

Communicate – While most of the work is left to the amazing staff at The Little Gym, there are a few choices you will need to make when it comes to activities, cake, number of guests, and of course date selection. The more you communicate with TLG staff, the less stressful the party will be.

Party Food – This is one of the few aspects of the birthday party package that The Little Gym leaves in the hands of parents. Whether you want to order pizza or make your own, they are very flexible about what choice of food you’d like to offer your guests. It may be a good idea, {depending on what time your party is} to get a few small snacks for parents to munch on while the children enjoy the activities and then give children the main dish before cake.

To Theme or Not to Theme – With The Little Gym services, there’s no need to plan an elaborate theme for your party, after all, the main theme will be gymnastics and play. However, if you’re anything like me, you love a good party theme. For Miss A’s fourth birthday party we chose a rainbow theme, AND it went perfect with The Little Gym’s bright colors, THAT was a coincidence.

Room for Presents – Most parents who host a party at The Little Gym choose for their child to open presents in their own home. This allows more party time for everyone. When thinking about your child’s presents, as well as seating for everyone who’ll be traveling with you, that way you’re not struggling to make it all fit.

Plan Ahead – Just like any other venue, The Little Gym Birthday Party dates fill up quickly. If possible, try to plan your date 1 to 2 months prior depending on the time of year. If you’ve already told family and friends to save the date, call The Little Gym as soon as you have a date, better safe than sorry.

Are you ready to book your child’s birthday party at The Little Gym? At your convenience you can book your party online, email, or call The Little Gym to pick out your date, find out more about the services they provide, and get your party planning started.

Disney’s Sofia the First Party Tips

Sofia the First Party Cupcakes

Sofia the First

Wow!! If you didn’t get a chance to catch Disney’s premier episode of Sofia the First you missed out, but never fear, the movie will be showing again TODAY on  WATCH Disney Junior, Disney Junior On Demand and DisneyJunior.com and on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 22 (9:00-10:00 a.m., ET/PT).

We were able to invite some of our princess-y friends over tonight for a royal party. Here are a few small things that made our Sofia the First princess party a success. {Mind you this was a small party because it was a school night so we didn’t go “all-out” with decorations.}

Dress Up!! We asked each of the attendees to dress up in their favorite princess wear, whether it was a Disney princess costume or a fancy dress with costume jewelry. You can also provide a dress up trunk for the kids to choose outfits and accessories from too.

Look at these adorable princesses posing in front of the Sofia the First poster with their cute crowns and beautiful gowns:

Sofia the First Party Collage

Serve Royally Yummy Snacks. We had magic wands {fruit kabobs}, towns people, {gingerbread men cookies}, Princess Sofia the First cupcakes topped off with an adorable Princess Sofia cupcake topper, and of course no movie premier would be complete without magical popping corn, popped by the fairy godmothers, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather themselves!!

Sofia Snacks

Sofia the First Party Cupcakes

Make time for Enchanted Games and activities too. Whether you teach your little princesses and princes the right way to curtsey or bow or how to dance the waltz, there are a number of games and activities that are going to please every attendee. House Party sent me this wonderful book:

Sofia the First Book

Which was a fun read and also introduced the children to Sofia and the characters in the movie. My only wish was that it didn’t tell the same story as the movie so there were more surprises as we watched, but the illustrations were adorable and the children loved the suspense and the happy ending, and I even heard a lot of, “awwwww”s from the moms, er, queens who were in attendance too.

Reading Sofia the First Book

Overall, we had an amazing fun-filled time with friends, enjoyed the entire 1-hour movie with a few appearances from our favorite classic Disney Princess movies, and even learned some lessons about giving people second chances, and working together.

If you have the chance to throw a Sofia the First party, whether it’s for a special occasion, {or not} it’s bound to be a good one.

Signed, The Royal Queen MommyB and her two beautiful princesses!!

Did you watch Sofia the First? Do you have any party tips to add??

If you liked this post make sure to share on Facebook, Twitter and feel free to pin too!!

I did not receive compensation for this post or for hosting the party. My guests and I did get some very cool Sofia the First goodies but as usual all opinions or thoughts expressed in this post are my own, honest opinions of Sofia the First the movie and book.

How to Throw an Adult Ice Cream Party {Giveaway}

Blue Bunny Ice Cream Collage

This summer I hosted an extremely fun back-to-school ice cream party for the kiddos, and it was an amazing success. I am the type of person that loves get-togethers anyway, so any reason to hang out with good friends is a good reason.

How to Throw an Adult Ice Cream Party

After the party I kept thinking how much fun it would be to have another ice cream social, but for just the adults. Really, the best way to dress up a typical ice cream party and make it more adult friendly is to change up the flavors.

First, choose “grown up” flavors that are a good blend of decadent and delicious. Make sure you feature a variety of flavors, so you please different palates of those who are attending your party.

If you took original ice cream flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and made them grow up they would probably turn into, Blue Bunny’s Premium flavors: Red Carpet Red Velvet Cake™, Dulce De Leche, Cup O’ Coffee Cake™, and of course Double Strawberry. All tastes that are mature, but fun, and {because Blue Bunny uses quality ingredients} full of creamy goodness.

After choosing your ice cream base flavors, consider your dessert “vessel” {if you will}. When it comes to an adult ice cream party think outside the cone. Purchase waffle cone bowls or go a little chic using martini glasses, or even consider serving small balls of ice cream as ice cream fondue with scrumptious toppings to go with!

Speaking of toppings, my last tip for how to throw an amazing adult ice cream party is the toppings!! Let’s get creative here folks. Think fresh, think a little on the expensive side {and if you can’t go $$ fake it}, and think big!!!

Here are some adult toppings that I strongly suggest adding to your ice cream bar:

  • Macadamia or another “exotic” nut
  • Premium chocolates, shaved or broken into bits
  • Fresh fruits like dragon fruit, mango, pomegranate, or lychee
  • Cultural foods including Mochi {a gummy rice based treat}, or perhaps a drizzle of Vegemite
  • Plants, that’s right I said it. Consider buying or growing fresh mint and lavender and adding them to your frozen treat

Blue Bunny Ice Cream Collage

Now that you’re ready to host your adult ice cream soiree, pick some great friends, a nice setting, and have a flavor-filled night!! Here’s your chance to win some ice cream for your very own party. One lucky MommyBKnowsBest.com reader will win 5 Blue Bunny Bucks, to spend on whichever (5) Blue Bunny Treats your heart desires.

Thank you Blue Bunny for the treats in order to host this soiree. I am not an official spokesperson for Blue Bunny, however if I could wear a bunny suit I would sign up immediately. I write about Blue Bunny because I like their products, and hopefully my posts reflect that sentiment. Please know that the above words and images are my own honest thoughts, yours may vary, but it’s doubtful.

LeapFrog Touch Magic Rock ‘n Learn Party

LeapFrog Rock 'N Learn Collage

When Miss A was two years old I hosted a rock ‘n roll play date for our friends and their children. It turned out so cute, all the kids were dressed up, Miss A had her fro-hawk and we jammed to some fun kids music.

When I was given the opportunity to host another rockin’ party, this time with my youngest, who is also two years old I was so excited. We love music and we love love love learning, and with LeapFrog’s two newest Touch Magic toys we can get the best of both worlds.

LeapFrog Rock 'N Learn Collage

The LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar is the perfect toy to jam on. Both my girls, age 2 years and 5 years old and all ages in between at our Rock ‘n Learn Party loved becoming a rock star. The guitar is super lightweight, doesn’t have raised buttons, so it’s very easy to play, and has 10 built-in songs for variety.

While the LeapFrog Touch Magic Learning Bus isn’t as predominately rock ‘n roll themed like the Rockin’ Guitar, this toy features adorable animals playing all sorts of instruments, and has a keyboard section at the bottom of the toy. Once again, music and learning in one! This toy is also very lightweight, easy for travel, and features activities to build letter sounds and letter recognition, early vocabulary, and more.

What I LOVE about both toys: They have a “parental” off button on the back, as well as 2 sound settings. As a mom this is important to me because we own some toys that have 1 sound setting and I wish with all my heart I could turn down. They’re also reasonably priced at $24.99 a piece retail. And lastly, I think it will last longer than some toys with parts because there are no parts to break off (with the exception of the guitar strap.)

I encourage you to go to your local Target to play with the toys yourself and see the quality and check out the features in person.

In true rock star style LeapFrog is hosting a music video contest. In 3 easy steps you could win $500.

LeapFrog Rock N Learn Contest
