CVS Curbside Pickup

This is a sponsored post in partnership with CVS/pharmacy.

If you’re a busy parent I guarantee that saving time is a top priorities. During the summer months finding ways to make errands shorter not only help me spend more fun time with my girls but also helps leaves me less stressed.

Ever find yourself dreading going in the store? Yeah me too! Sometimes you have a sleeping baby you really don’t want to wake up, sometimes it’s a battle to justify getting everyone in and out of the store, and other times I’m under the weather and just wish I could just stay in my car with my sniffles.

Whatever reason you dread going into the store help is here.

I recently discovered CVS/pharmacy’s new Curbside Pickup, a really cool, time-saving feature.

Here’s How It Works:

Head to the CVS Mobile app or the CVS website. Find a location near you and follow the instructions for Curbside Pickup to start shopping.

CVSPharmacy App

After processing your order CVS will text you that your order is ready and send you a pickup pass to use once you get to the store. (You can also track your order.)

CVS Curbside Pickup Processing MommyB

Typical transactions may take around an hour to fill.

Once you receive the text that your order is ready head to the CVS you placed your order with and find the CVS Curbside Sign like this:

CVS Curbside Pickup Sign MommyBKnowsBest

Then you wait for your order to be brought out to your vehicle.

The CVS employee scans the pickup pass and your transaction is complete.

Quick Details:

· The service is currently available in 3 select regions (with plans to roll out later on): Charlotte, Atlanta and San Francisco

· To use the service, customers can choose from thousands of non-prescription items through either the CVS Mobile App or website, and have them delivered curbside at a local CVS Pharmacy location within an hour

· No markups or added costs (LOVE this!!!)

· You can link your ExtraCare number to your CVS.com account and earn quarterly ExtraBucks Rewards and receive weekly ad sale prices on CVS Curbside Pickup orders (please note: item pricing will vary by store)

My Experience:

CVS Curbside Pickup Purchase MommyB

The service is awesome. It’s easy to shop and add your items if you know what you’re looking for. You can check out their featured items, search by department, or the search bar allows you to find exactly what you’re looking for.

During my use I put an item in my cart that wasn’t available at my local store. The system texted me right away letting me know I had to update my order and the store even called to clarify. Though they’re working out a few bugs I know I get the service of a live person at the store who is working hard to ensure my satisfaction.

I realized a couple of the items I had in my cart were on sale either with coupons from my ExtraCare Card or the store’s regular sale prices. Yippee!!

CVS Express Pickup MommyB

After placing my order I received the text it was ready within about 10 minutes.

CVS Curbside Pickup Ready MommyB

We hopped in the car (really I could have taken them without shoes or in their jammies since we didn’t have to get out of the car, hooray!!!) Once we pulled into the CVS parking lot my sister timed how long we waited for our items and it was under a minute!!! I was pretty impressed, and the service was excellent.

Seriously, doing this every time I shop would be a huge blessing. I love that CVS is starting this service and hope that more places follow suit. Now I can grab sunscreen on our way to the park if I forget it or order medicine for a headache and snacks for the kids while I’m running errands. Because we all know even the most well-behaved kiddos sometimes have a hard time “running into the store” and sometimes we just “don’t wanna”.

What’s Cool for You

10 Things I Heart in Winter

I know it’s not “officially” Winter yet, however the things I love all have to do with Winter or the Winter season, so I’m posting my 10 Things I Heart in Winter.

10 Things I Heart Winter MommyB

Here we go!

1. Warm coffee, yummo!!! Here are my favorite varieties:

    • On-the-go –  Starbucks, (My favorite is Hazelnut Macchiato with soy milk)
    • At home – Real Cup Coffee, they have awesome coffees and teas that work great with my Keurig and both hubby and I love. I personally love flavored coffee (see above) and for the Winter season they have a great Winterfest flavor.

Real Coffee MommyB

    • For stocking stuffers – Craft Coffee’s Coffee DNA Project™, if you know a coffee lover this great coffee subscription features coffees you probably won’t find anywhere else in a great sampler size (not too small not too big). Answer some questions, customize or get their recommendations.

2. The Spirit of Giving.

I reviewed and posted about this awesome book last year – The Sparkle Box Book Review and we fell in love. Without giving any of the storyline away the book encourages families to do for others. It not only gives a great incentive to have a giving spirit, but it reminds us what Christmas is all about. I love seeing our sparkling box this time of year and love that my girls desire to fill it up with good deeds for others. Hope you check it out!

3. Smiling Faces, Fun Experiences, and Cute Pets.

Where do all those things appear?? Instagram. Yep, I heart Instagram. Probably my most loved version of social media. It’s less controversial than Facebook can be at times and rather than all the words on Twitter I can see fun, sweet, beautiful pictures that embody the lives of family, friends, and coworkers (aka other bloggers and pr companies).

Recently I received an opportunity to check out #Cube™. Basically it’s a large 8” square LCD touch screen display, that taps into Instagram. #Cube™ delivers real-time and instant continuous delivery of a stream of photos and video clips, has built-in Wi-Fi, free wireless software updates, and is rechargeable. You can put #Cube™ anywhere in your house and move it around easily because it’s wireless (and really cool too.)

Classic_1680_hashtagcube_0008_color9

If you know someone who would love this as a gift, or want to buy it for yourself (that’s okay too), head to hashtagcube.com/#cube and for a $15#cube discount use coupon code: CUBE71 at checkout (affiliate link).

4. Christmas Cards

I love making our Christmas Cards each year, but even more so I love receiving them. We’re thankful for any cards we receive this time of year, but I’m especially partial to those with pictures of beautiful families, awesome couples, fun kids, awesome babies, and sweet pets. This month we’ve already received a bunch and I can’t wait to see new ones that come each day and hang them up.

5. Elderberry

Each time we get sick (which I feel like for a family of four isn’t too often, but often enough), I have a couple of dear friends who remind me the power of Elderberry. Well just last month I decided to get on the Elderberry train and I’m so glad I did! I didn’t realize all of the great benefits of Elderberry especially when you’re fighting an illness.

Norm’s Farms (locally in NC but ships worldwide), has an AMAZING selection of Elderberry products, that we used and loved (okay the girls didn’t like the taste but I thought it was similar to cranberry and loved it). My favorite product is their Elderberry Extract which is great for boosting your immune system, and has 2 times the amount of antioxidants than blueberries. They also have some great jellies and jams you’ll want to check out as well.

Norms Farms Elderberry MommyB

I also found some Elderberry products in health stores like lozenges that included zinc which I’ve heard is also another great, homeopathic way to treat a cough/cold. So don’t put it off like me, try Elderberry and then come back and thank me when you fall in love too!

6. Gettin’ Crafty.

Now that my girls are older, they want more hands-on activities and learning opportunities that a coloring book just won’t achieve. We often keep recycled materials in a bin in their “kids’ office” but we also buy science experiment kits, and craft sets.

We were able to try CreatorBox, a built-it-yourself subscription box that includes a new toy each month. The box comes complete with instructions and quality materials and feature some really cool things you wouldn’t normally think to create like a trebuchet/catapult, paper airplane launcher, and smart house.

For us, this was a great project for the girls to do with DaddyB because I often work on arts, crafts and projects with them, but due to DaddyB’s work schedule the quality time he does have is on the weekends. We saved our catapult for the girls to put together with him and they had a blast with it! I highly recommend this for great family bonding, and learning too!

7. Holiday Shopping

We don’t go big for Christmas presents but we do buy each of our girls 3 gifts (want, need, read) and this year we also bought most of our family 3 gifts as well (one thoughtful gift, one gift card, and one handmade gift). While at a recent BJ’s Holiday event, my assistant Lil’ C and I were introduced to quite a few great gift sets and learned a little more about BJ’s Wholesale as well.

Though we were members for several years, mostly buying diapers and paper products, I never realized how much larger BJ’s Wholesale is than their competitors, carrying more than double typically. They also have a great charitable foundation that gives back to the community and each store also participates in several outreach opportunities throughout the season including an angel tree. Did you know that???

Here are some of the great gifts for two-legged family and friends (and some four legged ones too):

BJs Holiday MommyB

8. Fun Movies

I love fun winter and Christmas movies, don’t you? The problem with fun movies though is that there are so many to choose from, so I’m gonna try to keep my list simple. Try is the operative word people. In no particular order:

  • Elf, for obvious reasons.
  • Iesodo’s new JOY themed video
  • The Grinch (good lessons in here)
  • Home Alone (and Home Alone 2 but if I have to pick, I’d go with the first one)
  • Any Veggie Tales Christmas, Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas, Saint Nicholas is a great one to teach your kiddos about who St. Nicholas really was, and the Ultimate Christmas Collection has a bunch of great holiday DVDs in one great set.

9. Goodies

Yep, it’s the season of candy and sweets, cookie exchanges, and delicious stocking stuffers. One of my favorite places to pick up sweet treats for my family is CVS/pharmacy. They have the usual treats like candy canes, gold coins (which I always put in the girls’ stockings), and other great candy bars, nuts, and trail mixes to name a few, plus the sales and prices are….awesome.

CVS Gold Emblem Select MommyB

10. You!

The biggest thing I love this Winter is you!! I always try to remind you, my readers, that I’m so thankful and blessed to have you stopping by my site, reading, and sharing my posts. I hope that you have a great winter, a Merry Christmas and of course an awesome New Year. Thank you for being so amazing for yet another year end. I heart you!!!

Breaking News – CVS/pharmacy Goes Tobacco-Free and Stops Selling Tobacco Products

I can’t say I’m not elated about the HUGE stance CVS/pharmacy is taking by not selling tobacco products starting this Fall. As the daughter of smoking parents, they know how I feel, and while I know it’s a hard habit to break, I love the reasons behind CVS/pharmacy’s big tobacco free decision and look forward to a healthier America and am so glad a great brand is taking a HUGE step in the right direction.

CVS Tobacco Free MommyB

CVS Caremark’s corporate mission is focused on helping put people on a path to better health. This morning, CVS Caremark announced that they will stop selling cigarettes and other tobacco products at their more than 7,600 CVS/pharmacy stores by October 1, 2014.

“Now more than ever, pharmacies are on the front lines of health care, becoming more involved in chronic disease management to help patients with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. All of these conditions are made worse by smoking, which is the leading cause of premature disease and death in the U.S., with more than 480,000 deaths annually. Because of this, this is the right thing for us to do and something we need to do for our customers.

Our decision to stop selling tobacco products is consistent with the positions taken by the American Medical Association, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association and American Pharmacists Association that have all publicly opposed tobacco sales in retail outlets with pharmacies.”

In addition to removing tobacco products and cigarettes for sale in their stores, this Spring CVS Caremark will be launching a national smoking cessation program with the goal of helping millions of Americans quit smoking.

Big thumbs up for this initiative and who knows maybe other drugstores will follow suit and help the 7 out of 10 smokers that want to stop smoking.

Here’s to a healthier America. Mom & Dad if you’re reading this you know what I’m thinking…….

The opinions and thoughts expressed in this post are my own. I was not compensated in any way by CVS/pharmacy to write about this. Because it is a topic that is personal and lays heavy on my heart I chose to bring this message to you. I work with CVS/pharmacy and believe they are a great brand and have been a customer for years and will continue to be especially if their direction continues to help others get healthy and stay healthy.

New Products and Programs from CVS/pharmacy Headquarters

If you follow my Instagram, Facebook or Twitter feeds, you know that at the end of September, I had the opportunity to visit CVS/pharmacy headquarters once again this year and sit in on informational sessions, and enjoy some great branded events, with some amazing bloggers.

CVS/pharmacy Bloggers

If you missed last year’s trip report head HERE. It’s been a busy month and I learned so much about great new products and programs that CVS/pharmacy is or will be rolling out. In this post you’ll see highlights of my visit and learn about these products and programs for yourself. In the meantime, make sure you’re subscribed to my blog by putting your email address in the appropriate box in the sidebar, that way you won’t miss my upcoming CVS/pharmacy product and program posts.

Whats Your DealFirst I’ll start with myWeekly ads and deals. Since this is something I mentioned to you in my post: CVS/pharmacy Announces myWeekly Ad Customized Savings I won’t go over all the details {if you want those click on the link I just mentioned}. But I will tell you that for those of us who aren’t hardcore couponers, this is perfect for the shopper in us who wants to save on things we are already planning on purchasing without having to spend hours of hard work getting that deal. Kudos to CVS/pharmacy for making it easy for shoppers like us to save!

Check out this funny, celeb-filled video showcasing a few different myWeekly ad suggestions. What’s Your Deal???

Joan Rivers cracks me up!

For the health-minded side of CVS/pharmacy, I enjoyed trying to decipher what was a health FACT and MYTH out of the health statements we were given by the CVS MinuteClinic crew. I actually learned a good bit of new information about MinuteClinic including:

  • Available in over 650 clinics in more than 25 states
  • Holds a 95% patient satisfaction rate
  • Staffed by Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants who are able to treat, diagnose, and prescribe medication.
  • No appointments needed and services are available evenings and weekends
  • Known for acute services, but provide wellness services, physical screenings and more.

MinuteClinic Myth vs Fact MommyB.jpg

{Pictured above is Christine Young, I heart her, go check out her blog From Diapers to Dating}

I love how convenient MinuteClinic is, especially being a busy mom with two little girls. Sometimes I want my kiddos to get feeling better right away. We love our physician, but illness doesn’t always work on our doctor’s office timelines. Can I get an amen?!?

Of course most of the bloggers at the event were women, not all, but most, and we were pampered with some amazing Salma Hayek Nuance beauty products. If you haven’t heard of her line Nuance you are truly missing out my friend.Salma Hayek Nuance CVS

Nuance products are specially formulated with natural, exotic ingredients that have stood the test of time. It’s said that a number of ingredients used in Nuance products were the same used by Salma’s very own grandmother.

This year, Salma Hayek’s Nuance launched a few new products including: Nuance Salma Hayek Hair Care with rich ingredients like flax seed to strengthen and protect hair, and Nuance Salma Hayek Skincare including cleansers, BB Cream and more with each item under a $19.99 price point. Love beauty at a bargain!

Last but not least, on this fun media trip, we were treated to Christmas with CVS/pharmacy. Not only was the ambiance set for holiday celebrations, but we enjoyed a yummy Christmas morning breakfast complete with gingerbread lattes and peppermint mochas. Normally I’m not one for celebrating holidays too soon, but with the Christmas tree {and for those of you who celebrate Hannukah, the minora}, stockings, and Christmas lights really got me excited for the holidays to be here already.

CVS Christmas Holiday Gifts MommyB

We were also able to soak in the experience by doing a White Elephant swap of some of CVS/pharmacy’s soon-to-be “hot holiday gift” items. We also got to preview products that will be on “his” “hers” “kids” and other family members’ lists this Christmas and I got some great ideas for family and friends of my own.

CVS/pharmacy has even put together a few lists to get you started and help you out with shopping for those awesome people in your life you’d like to gift this Christmas season: Holiday Shopping at CVS/pharmacy.

I want to thank each of you who read my blog for your support. If you weren’t stopping by, reading my posts, commenting on Facebook, and entering giveaways I wouldn’t be able to work from home doing something I truly enjoy.

Thanks also to CVS/pharmacy for an amazing media event, lots of product samples to try out and tell my readers about, and of course the inside scoop on CVS/pharmacy’s newest products and programs coming out.

I was not compensated for this post. I did receive a trip to CVS/pharmacy headquarters for this event and work closely with the brand throughout the year on non-paid and paid projects. Any opinions in this post are my own. My family have been brand-loyal to CVS/pharmacies long before I was a blogger. Your opinions may vary.

Red Cross, CVS/pharmacy, MommyB Knows Best Service Day Recap

Thank you all for your thoughts and participation on the Red Cross, CVS/pharmacy and MommyB Knows Best Service Day! The day was a huge success, so many lives will be touched by the work that went on a few weekends ago and it definitely ignited a strong desire in my heart to continue to serve my community and others in this way.

CVS/pharmacy not only donated a large number of personal care and hygiene products, but with the help of the awesome people at Matter Communications we were able to connect and serve along with some amazing Red Cross of Charlotte volunteers.

Here’s my video recap of the days events and some pictures!

Red Cross CVS MommyB Knows Best Service Day

This day will certainly be one I won’t remember. I was able to vocally share my story of the devastating house fire my family lived through, which I haven’t done much in my life and even though tears filled my eyes and my voice wavered throughout I know that the more I tell my story the more lives will be touched, and the more awareness it will bring.

I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of this event and am grateful for all the people who believed in me to organize it, but give all the glory to God. He is the one who not only saved me from the fire that day, but has given me new life in Him.

What are you and your family currently doing or plan on doing to serve others in your community or across the globe??

CVS/pharmacy Announces myWeekly Ad Customized Savings

This post is sponsored by CVS/pharmacy in conjunction with media events and product I receive by working with them.

This past Friday, September 13th, CVS/pharmacy rolled out a great new feature that is bound to help you and your family shop for the items you buy most and save on them too!

Let me introduce you to the CVS/pharmacy myWeekly Ad.

myWeekly Ad reinvents the traditional circular – instead of 45 million people checking one circular to see all the same sales and deals on the front page and inside, those 45 million people can access their own version of the weekly sales ad – and each of you will see the deals and sale items for the week that matter most to you! You’ll be able to easily find the best deals on your favorite, frequently-purchased products, as well as create detailed, sharable shopping lists and even quickly scan all the items you can buy to earn circular ExtraBucks Rewards that week.

If you want to see for yourself, head to CVS.com/myWeeklyAd.

MyWeeklyAd

During your first visit, you’ll want to click on the “Sign Up Now” button to customize your profile using your ExtraCare Card number (you can sign up HERE if you don’t have one) and the usual name, address, phone etc. Once you set your password and verify you’ve read the Terms of Service you are ready to start browsing your custom circular. I have been loyal CVS customers since before I was married and well before I started this blog. I am proud to be able to stand behind a brand that has been a big part of my life and my family’s too. Care Package & Gift Basket Ideas for Moving {Giveaway}

Thank you CVS/pharmacy for donating the gift basket items for the Yon family.

Whether you know a family who is moving to a different house, neighborhood, city, state (or maybe even country) or there’s a new family in your neighborhood, it’s always thoughtful to create a care package or gift basket with useful items. Personally, I love shopping at CVS/pharmacy for all kinds of things besides just refilling prescriptions for my family. When I heard a family from my daughter’s school was moving to Africa to become missionaries, I thought to myself, “How can I help in my own personal way.” I decided to approach CVS/pharmacy with a list of items that this family had on their needs list for their trip. CVS/pharmacy quickly gathered items (more than I could fit in the gift basket), for my family to donate on their behalf.

Care Package and Gift Basket Ideas for Moving MommyB

This gave me great ideas for gifting to people who are moving anywhere in the world. Here are some care package and gift basket ideas for different ages and moves using products that can all be purchased at CVS/pharmacy.

College or Back-to-School Care Package

  • CVS/pharmacy carries a long list of Back-to-School supplies from Crayola crayons, to composition notebooks, and more that would be great to add to this care package.
  • Consider adding CVS brand over the counter medicine, {did you know most CVS brand medicines has the same active ingredients as the name brand??}
  • Gold Emblem snacks for late night studying, affordable and yummy too
  • Laundry supplies {unless of course they’re bringing all their “dirties” back home to you}

Moving Gift Basket Care Package MommyB

Overseas Move Care Package (of course this package may vary depending on restrictions of airlines or country law/limits)

  • Sunscreen – we love any of the CVS clear mist versions, it’s easy to apply.
  • Pack some snacks for the recipient to munch on during their flight, Unreal Candy is a healthier alternative, but is still a nice, sweet treat.
  • In some countries multi-vitamins are very hard to find, these are easy to stock up on and send in your care package
  • Send some entertainment, purchase some card games or small board games, featured in CVS/pharmacy’s toy aisle

Hallmark Blooming FlowerFriend Moving Away Care Package

  • Personalize notes for a set timeframe and include inspirational quotes, memories, favorite sayings, or Bible verses
  • Choose a theme for the gift basket like all items one color, that person’s favorite scent, or items that will remind them of your friendship
  • CVS/pharmacy carries a full line of greeting cards and also sells great Hallmark products including the popular blooming flower greetings, perfect for friendship or someone you love
  • Purchase a gift card or two to somewhere you both can visit when you see each other next. This gives you a date to look forward to and not having to worry about where to go or who will pay.

Welcome to the Neighborhood Gift Basket

  • Create a list (with permission) of the names and phone numbers of neighbors in your area to give to your new neighbor so they may reach out or have someone to call in a time of need.
  • Since you may not know food preferences or if there are food allergies, you may want to stay away from food based gifts and stick to household products instead.
  • A CVS/pharmacy gift card is a great addition to this gift basket so the recipient can buy some items they may have left behind or need for their new home.
  •  Grab some standard cleaning products like baking powder, sponges, disinfecting wipes so they have cleaning items handy.

CVS/pharmacy is great for all kinds of needs whether you create a gift card tree or buy a bunch of great items to fill a care package or gift basket to the brim.

CVS/pharmacy provided me with one $25 gift certificate for one lucky reader. Enter here to win:

I received products from CVS/pharmacy who I often partner with in order to provide some needs of the Yon Family. My family and I have used CVS products and shopped there well before I began working with the brand because we trust and appreciate their amazing service. All opinions and thoughts in the above post are my own, however yours may vary.

What’s App-enning?? App Series: NEW CVS/pharmacy iPad App

At the end of March, CVS/pharmacy launched their new iPad app making it that much easier for customers to manage prescriptions and shop directly from our tablets, how cool is that?!?!

With the new CVS iPad app we can explore a virtual 3D CVS/pharmacy and quickly access services from the Pharmacy, ExtraCare, Photo Center and MinuteClinic, as well as browse their favorite departments to shop. Not only is this app really cool because it’s interactive, but it’s super easy to use. Plus, you don’t have to get out of your pajamas or do your hair to shop at CVS now, you can perform several typically in-person tasks from the comfort of your own home or even on the go.

CVS iPad App HomeScreen

Download the free CVS iPad app, and you’ll be instantly transported into what feels like your local CVS/pharmacy. Tapping on popular areas of the store from the home screen will launch mini apps (different parts of the store) including:

  • Pharmacy Services with Enhanced Prescription Management: With the swipe of a finger, customers can scroll through all their prescriptions in a matter of seconds and take actions including scheduling refills and viewing prescriptions available for pick-up. Caregivers can manage prescriptions for themselves and their families, using native tablet functionality such as drag-and-drop and easily sort by patient name, refill status and more. Patients can also view prescription details instantly with zoom-in detail screens and scan in refills using the iPad camera (supported on iPad 3 and above).
  • ExtraCare with Coupon Center: Shoppers can sign in to manage their ExtraCare savings and rewards by clicking the ExtraCare Coupon Center. The ExtraCare mini app allows visitors to check their balances or sign up for additional ExtraCare programs such as Beauty Club, ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes and ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards. Similar to the in-store experience, customers are encouraged to make the ExtraCare Coupon Center their first stop to receive new coupons and personalized offers. On the CVS iPad app, they can view what offers are available with easy rotating display and animations, and then choose to send them directly to their ExtraCare card or print them.
  • Weekly Ad: Customers looking for deals or who prefer to plan ahead can view the weekly circular for their preferred location by using the GPS locator or entering their ZIP code. Additionally, customers can search the ad by category or brand, or search for a specific product and build shareable shopping lists.
  • Catalogue Style Shopping: Users can shop and search the full CVS.com product catalog, sorted by category. Savvy shoppers can also access weekly deals to take advantage of new offers every day on popular household essentials, beauty products, health needs and gifts.
  • Photo Center: App users can upload photos from their tablet camera roll to be printed for pick-up that very same day at a local CVS/pharmacy. Customers can also see various other photo products available in-store.
  • MinuteClinic: Users can quickly locate the nearest MinuteClinic or access a variety of informational resources on the types of services and minor illness exams offered, as well as check the various kinds of insurance accepted.

In the coming months, CVS/pharmacy will introduce support for additional tablet platforms and continue to enhance the CVS iPad app, offering additional new features that deepen the virtual shopping experience and offer informative and innovative ways for customers to interact with pharmacy services. For more information, make sure you head over to CVS.com/onthego and check it out for yourself!!

This is not a compensated post, however I have worked with CVS/pharmacy in the past. I stand behind their brand, and my family personally utilizes the services that CVS/pharmacy offers, even before our working relationship, and will continue to do so for many years.

CVS/pharmacy presents ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards

So you may remember I had the opportunity to work with CVS/pharmacy and talk about their Pharmacy ExtraBucks Rewards program. If not, check out my video:

Back when the video first aired, there were only a few cities that were eligible to participate in the program, but as of February 1st, CVS/pharmacy opened this program up to the nation. The program has changed a little starting with it’s new name; ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards.

CVS:pharmacy Rewards

Here’s how it works:

  • Enrollment is easy. Shoppers can sign up today online at CVS.com/rxrewards
  • Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards can be used like other ExtraBucks Rewards on most items in the store (see image above)
  • Shoppers must opt-in to this program to earn these new rewards, but can keep using their same ExtraCare card
  • Each person who joins can earn up to $50 Pharmacy & Health ExtraBucks Rewards each year
  • When participants receive their rewards, there’s no guesswork involved. Unlike complicated points-based programs where members get paid back in rewards they don’t understand how to use, ExtraCare members receive ExtraBucks Rewards.
  • These rewards are like “free CVS money” they can spend on most items in the store, so it’s super easy to redeem them online, in-store or via smartphone.

Holiday Gift Guide – Unique Stocking Stuffers and Gift Ideas

MommyB Knows Best's Holiday Gift Guide

MommyB Knows Best's Holiday Gift Guide Deck the Halls and break out your lists it’s time for another installment of MommyB Knows Best’s Holiday Gift Guide for the family! In speaking with different families I know that some families provide lists of desired items and others have little to no ideas to go off of. Personally, I like a list for a guideline, but I love purchasing items that I think the gift recipient will be surprised by and love. Here are a few unique stocking stuffer and gift ideas that I wanted to share with you. I hope they can be helpful in your holiday shopping.

big-fish-games-logoThe perfect stocking stuffer for kids or adults, pick up a gift certificate from online casual games company Big Fish.  With most games available for download at only $9.99, Big Fish has something to please every gamer including colorful puzzles and brain teasers, educational games for children, and intriguing mystery and adventure games.

Bobbi-ToadsBobbi-Toads, a line of fun and fashionable shoes for young girls, features a faux set of toe nails on a stylish sneaker, allowing young ones to paint the shoes as you would your own nails. When you are ready to switch up your style and change colors, simply use non-toxic nail polish remover to remove the old polish, and repeat the process by polishing with a different color; it’s that easy! https://www.bobbitoads.com/

CVS Phone CasesLooking for a personalized gift that any smart phone or tablet user would love?? CVS/pharmacy photo lab offers several selections and templates to design a fabulous phone case for someone special. Here are my photos, thoughts, and ordering information: CVS/pharmacy smart phone case review.

The Little Gym FamilyTired of toys consuming every area of your home?? What about a gift that will give your child hours of enjoyment and learning but just doesn’t fit into a box? We love The Little Gym classes for both our girls, whether they are in ballet, gymnastics, or one of the many active classes The Little Gym offers they are learning skills both physically and socially. We have classes at The Little Gym of Huntersville/Lake Norman but you can also find a Little Gym class near you.

CVS Beauty Collage

Stocking stuffers can be the last item on your shopping list and sometimes the most difficult. I love shopping for little trinkets at CVS/pharmacy. When it comes to my stocking stuffer wishes I’d pick the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare Beauty Club picks. Some of my favorites are Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain, Nuance Salma Hayek Walnut Body Scrub {it’s to die for!!}, and for fun, Katy Perry Lashes Oh My!{choose something modest or get fancy!} to name a few. All of these products are around $7 and under in CVS/pharmacy’s Beauty Club, perfect stocking stuffer price and size.

Our favorite Christmas movie to watch with our girls is Veggie Tale’s St. Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving. We like this movie because it tells about the person St. Nicholas and explains the reasons behind why we give gifts at Christmas time, something we try to teach our girls. You may even want to consider buying this one to watch before Christmas gets here. The lowest price I’ve found the video so far is on Walmart’s Website.
