My Medifast Progress – Week 6

So remember last week?? Week 5 Medifast progress? When I basically psyched you out, {admit it, you fell for it} and made you think I gained weight. Well yeah, perhaps that came back to bite me, or perhaps I’ve hit a mini-plateau for this week.

This week when I stepped on the scale I didn’t see a loss, not to give TMI or anything though but this is my normal “time of the month” although thanks to a certain procedure I only experience the hormones, bloating, and cramping. I’m hoping that that is what I can attribute this week’s stale mate to. I also know that I haven’t been getting as much rest lately and gosh, I’m always struggling with getting enough water in. I honestly don’t think there’s ever a day when I get the correct amount of water, I’m always under. Do you struggle too?

I know some awesome tips, it’s just making myself do it and setting aside the time. I know, it sounds weird to have to set time aside to drink water, but for me it’s not first nature. Hopefully some day it will be.

  • Hey Jenn,
I completely feel your pain! I know I SHOULD drink enough water, but I go in phases when I am good about it and then I fall off the pattern and sink back into old habits. You’re doing great with your Medifast plan! That time of the month really interferes with weight in my opinion! I put on 5 lbs of water weight every time and my clothes never fit right at that time. 🙂

  • Hi Jenn,

My very first Medifast order shipped today. I got sick about a year ago and am now going through surgically induced menopause (I am 38). I exercise 4-5 times a week, but the changes that my body has/is going through has proved to make weight loss a struggle. I am excited and apprehensive about starting Medifast. I am scared about feeling tired. Any thoughts?

    • Hey Missy,
Wow it sounds like you’ve been through a lot. Congrats on starting Medifast. I hope my blog posts can offer some suggestions, and support. As for feeling tired, it’s hard to say b/c I have been sick and used to be a 2 cup (at least) of day coffee drinker. I will suggest, for energy sake, make sure you’re getting enough sleep (it also aids in weight loss), and if you haven’t been recommended yet, you may want to hold off on exercising the first few weeks until your body gets used to the calorie consumption. The great thing about Medifast is that they have amazing nutrition counselors, USE their advice and services. They are great and have helped me tremendously!! Keep me posted on your progress and here’s to Becoming Yourself!
