My Medifast Progress – Week 10

Wow, here we are at 10 weeks. I don’t know how long I thought it would take for me to get to my weight loss goal, but I do know that I didn’t anticipate life, although we experienced a lot of unexpected things, including the loss of an amazing family member and a month of illness, so I’m trying not to be hard on myself that I’m not further along in this journey.

Do you struggle as you lose weight or even struggle with deciding whether or not to give it a shot?? At least we’re in the same boat!! It really takes a lot of motivation and a desire to drop pounds when you’ve struggled with weight almost all your life. I know some of you can agree, some of you have extra weight because of having babies and all the body changes that brings, some of you have life changes or are working more, maybe some of you don’t want to lose weight but want to be healthier. Whatever it is, I am so thankful that I have you with me on this journey, and I hope that I too can help lift you up, and also remember you’re not alone.

This week DaddyB and I changed the theme of my local site TheCharlotteMoms.com, which we’re still doing a few small things to, and as a result I had very little sleep this past week, one night even getting as little as 3 hours of sleep, horrible I know!!!! I’m working on putting myself to bed earlier, and hoping that as I work out more this week I’ll be more tired.

I challenged myself to work out for two 30-45 minute sessions and one fun activity with my girls. To be completely honest, I didn’t accomplish the goal, but I did get one steady 30 minute session in and also had fun chasing my girls, and dancing, and I was definitely sweating and breathing heavier.

Lastly, this week I saw some great recipes, and when it comes to the Medifast 5-and-1 plan, I’m usually a shakes and bars kind of girl, but after checking out cauliflower pizza crust that looked amazing. (I actually don’t like cauliflower, but the pictures on Pinterest and Instagram made me drool.) So I may, or may not get adventurous with my lean and green meal, because my main goal is to learn how to live a healthier life. But I did end up trying a few new Medifast foods, so make sure you check out my Medifast Food Reviews page to see what I thought.

Weight Lost on Medifast: -14 lbs
Current weight: 154.5 lbs
My First Goal: -33 lbs/135.5 lbs {since I’m 33, I thought that was appropriate}
My Final Goal: -16.5 lbs/119 lbs {half of 33}
