I first heard about Lock & Mane on Twitter and was overwhelmed, (in a good way), at the number of hair care products that they carry. It could be that I’m so out of the loop being a busy mommy, but they have a ton of products I’ve never even heard of. Another thing that amazed me is they have a product for everything from dandruff to dry shampoo to men’s shaving products and more!
I had the opportunity to “test out” a few of their unique products including Ted Gibson’s daily cleansing shampoo and conditioner and it left my hair feeling clean and at the same time, silky smooth. Not only do I secretly think that my hair likes this stuff, but I know my nose adores the delicious scent. The smell of grapefruit in the shower invigorated me and, of course being pregnant, made me hungry. I know it’s goofy, but so true.
Among the other items I got to try out I also loved the Lulu Organic Powder. Being a mom, or even just a woman on the go I can totally appreciate the need for a dry shampoo. It’s super simple application makes it almost a daily necessity. I also love the calming smell of the Lavender, but if you order the 4 oz bottle you can get it in Lavender/Clary Sage, Jasmine, Patchouli/Amber, and Tuberose. **Warning**You may want to keep this away from the men in your life though because there are boobies on the bottle.
As per one of my New Year’s Resolutions I’m trying to be a better “Super-Savvy Mom” and compare prices a little more. This time the work has been done for you. I checked a few of the retailers for the products Lock & Mane carry, and even one site that was having a “sale” and Lock & Mane is either competitively priced or less than most other sites. Kudos Lock & Mane, not only are your products family friendly but they’re wallet friendly as well!
Lock & Mane the Company
Lock & Mane started the website last summer with the goal to fill a niche online for women and men seeking high quality products, tools and accessories. They employ a Chief Hair Officer, someone who tests every single one of their products before they decide to sell them. The great people at Lock & Mane want to make sure that only the highest quality products make it to you.
Lock & Mane is a family owned and operated company. They are no strangers to the difficulty of staying chic while pregnant or raising kids. A lot of the people working at Lock & Mane either have kids themselves or are about to. In fact one of the founders of Lock & Mane is 8 1/2 months pregnant. They definitely know something about juggling style and family. Lock & Mane’s overall goal is to help everyone look their best.
Not only does Lock & Mane have a great shopping site, but they also have a fun blog: http://www.lockandmane.com/blog/, that highlights Celebrity Hair, How-To’s, Interviews and more. I don’t know about any other hair care websites that sell product and give you all of that above information as well. If you do I’d love to hear about it.
As for Lock & Mane, it only gets better, not only do they have great products that you can purchase here: Lock & Mane’s Website but they’re also giving away a 1.6 oz bottle of Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo and a 1 oz. bottle of the Lulu Organics Hair Powder that I got to try out.
