How to Send the Sickies Away

February 27, 2013 3 Comments »

If you’ve been reading my posts this year, you’ll remember me mentioning how, almost the entire month of January someone was sick in the B household. It was a rough, rough month for us health-wise, but thankfully our home is sickie free so far this month (and it’s almost over!!)

I decided to claim health for February and my prayers came true. Unfortunately, there are a few more months of cold and flu season and chances for us to get sick again. I hope you and your family are staying healthy this time of year, but if you or someone you know is trying to, “Send the Sickies Away”, here are a few of our tips that may help.

B-Family-Sickies

1. If the weather permits, open up the windows on all levels to let the fresh air in, and the contaminated air out. Plus it’s always nice to enjoy a cool breeze, so long as it’s not too chilly outside.

2. Get up and Go! While sometimes you and the kids are too sick to move, if you’re feeling a little under the weather but well enough to leave the house, go for a short drive, it may just lift everyone’s spirits enough to encourage recovery.

3. Make “get well” cards for each sick person in your home, a smile can go a long way when you’re sick, and since you’re usually stuck inside it gives kids and parents the chance to work on their art skills.

Do you have any tried and true ways to send the sickies away???
