Hefty Basics Tableware Saves Trees

Hefty BasicsLet me introduce you to Hefty® Basics™ paper plates, I love these plates because they’re something new in the commercial market.

Hefty® Basics™ paper plates are free of inks, dyes and coatings, and even without all that extra “junk” they’re super durable and a great price. It’s a great alternative if you are looking for something more eco-friendly for your parties or even those moments when you don’t want to wash a jillion dishes.

Now some of you may know I’m a mom who’s working on being more eco-friendly. I have thought about a home compost, but right now it’s just not something that would fit in our lives. But for those of you who have your own compost, kudos and just for you Hefty® Basics™ paper plates are biodegradable in your home compost, how cool is that.

Hefty® Basics™ even used wildflower seed paper that I can plant in my backyard, and I bet you’ll never guess what the ink is made of….soy!! Just goes to show how eco-focused this new product they have is. Now if we show support on products like these perhaps Hefty® will make even more products like these and even less of the bad stuff.

In the spirit of environmentalism, Hefty® Basics™ has also partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation™ on a quest to plant 10,000 trees, one for every ten new “Like”s on Facebook. So what are you waiting for, the Earth can always use more trees: http://www.facebook.com/Hefty.BasicsTableware Be sure to share with your friends and while your at it, check out Hefty® Basics™ paper plates, they come in 45-count 8 5/8-inch lunch plate packages and 24-count 10 1/4-inch dinner plate packages. I think if you’re trying to make the eco-switch you’ll really enjoy these plates.

  • saw your post on twitter, so I jumped over to read it. I have tried the plates, do like them. I am trying to use less paper, and these are good for those times of paper plates.
