Harlem Globetrotters Charlotte – Wholesome Family Entertainment #globiefamily

If you have read any of my other family entertainment posts you know that DaddyB and I are very selective with the entertainment choices we make for our girls. {Who as a reminder are almost 3 and almost 6}. They don’t care for “scary” scenes in movies and are still pretty young. DaddyB and I both remember seeing things from our childhood that have stuck with us now as adults and while we have the chance to enjoy our children’s innocence we are going to do just that. We love having opportunities where they can not only enjoy entertainment, but also learn from it as well.

When I think about wholesome family entertainment the Harlem Globetrotters performance definitely comes to mind. The Globetrotters have been an institution since 1926, yes that’s right, more than 85 years! That’s an amazing history, with over 20,000 games. Can you imagine how many families have watched them in that many years??

We want our girls to live and see a healthy, active lifestyle and encourage them by putting them in classes where they can learn physical skill as well as other important life skills, play with them at home, and we also enjoy watching sports on television and explaining rules, training, skill, and everything it takes to put together a game. As the girls grow we want to take them to more sporting events, however we know that some events aren’t so family friendly, which is why we are very excited to take them to the Harlem Globetrotters performance here in Charlotte.

We know the girls will be able to see, first-hand, the fun of sports, the athleticism that the Globetrotters portray, cool displays of skill, and will be able to enjoy it in a wholesome setting where we don’t have to worry about some of the issues we might encounter at a typical sporting event.
