February 5, 2014 58 Comments »

Do you ever wish you were one of those amazing coupon clippers you see on tv? You know the extreme couponers whose day job is coupon clipping to save their family a million dollars? I know when I head to the check out lane the thought of switching my career pops into my head but only for a moment.

foodLion-150

I give couponers big props because I know it takes time, commitment, and organization to be a super saver. Thanks to Food Lion’s NEW MVP Coupon Hub you can be a successful saver without having to track down the latest Sunday circular or buying 10 cases of items you don’t need or won’t use personally.

The new MVP Coupon Hub will allow you to load coupons directly to your MVP card via the Food Lion website. This resource will not only help your family save money while shopping for the groceries, save a tree {or seven}, but also save you time.

As a busy working mom, time is one of the most valuable things for me. I need to be very picky about where and who I spend my time on. Saving money is important to me, but if Food Lion can give me that time back that I don’t have to spend searching for the deals when they are delivering them directly to me through my computer, I can use that time to give back to my family, my MVPs. Can you relate??

We don’t have Food Lions here in Massachusetts, but who knows….maybe they will work their way up here :)

Pretty much whatever I can! If I can find coupons on produce, those are the best – but they only really come directly from the grocery stores. :)

That sounds like a great program. And the chance to win a sweepstakes is even better! My #1 thing I often use a coupon for is coffee creamer.

I’m frustrated lately especially because coupons are so often just the long shelf life processed types of foods. So whenever I find fruit & veggie type coupons I Totally use those! and would you believe I’ve never been inside a Food Lion Yet? There’s one not too far away even… I need a REASON! :)

EVERYTHING! haha! I used to be pretty extreme and was really good at it, but since we overhauled the way we eat, there’s very few coupons for what I buy food wise. Thankfully there’s still plenty of coupons for HBA and other things we use. With a hubby with Crohn’s we go through more TP than any other, so our garage looks like a grocery store in itself. :)

Very cool! I try to match up what coupons I can, but I won’t buy tons of things I won’t use or wipe shelves clean just because I have coupons.

Cereal. I wish I used coupons more, but I always seem to forget about them. I’m not very organized. The Food Lion coupon hub is really convenient because then I don’t forget them!

We love Food Lion! All of my in-laws are from where it was founded and the entire family shops there and supports it. :)

I use coupons on diapers, cat food, wipes and things that really add up in price when you have to buy them often!

i love to save money, and use coupons, but i wouldn’t ever want to be an extreme couponer. i find that many of them who have now given a bad name to those who play by the rules- many of them use the wrong coupons and that’s illegal !!

I could really use some money saving options at our grocery stores! We don’t have a food Lion, but hope to one day.

Food Lion has some of the best deals and value! We actually don’t have Food Lions here, instead Food Lion bought out a local grocery store and we get their values but the local grocery store kept their names, how cool is that?? However, BiLo just came in and bought out Food Lion so now we won’t have as good of deals :(

I’ll have to check it out. I just recently started using the coupon thing (whatever the technical term is for it) at the front of the store where you can scan your card up to 2x/week and get coupons that are good for that day. This sounds like it would save even more. I tend to use coupons for snacks/juices.

  34. Eliz Frank February 6, 2014 at 5:48 PM - Reply

Im not familiar with the brand… The coupon would be great if they were nearby.

I normally use coupons on my V-8 +Energy drinks (when they’re available), plus baby wipes, toddler snacks, and whatever else I have them for! I don’t buy things JUST because I have a coupon, but I do try and use them if it’s something I’d normally buy, anyway.
