Dwizzle Dee™: Colors, Sizes, Songs & Imagination, is like Preschool on a DVD. We watch a good variety of pre-school geared television from Sprout, to Disney, to Nick Jr., and we love a bunch of their educational shows, but we have yet to see a creation like Dwizzle Dee™.
Dwizzle Dee™ starts out in a classroom, but goes much further, into the flower fields and a fun world of imagination.
This DVD features puppets Ms. Ashley, and her students Lenny, Penny, Gifford. My least favorite character is Ms. Ashley, I feel like I can tell she’s reading lines, but Miss A could care less. Ms. Ashley asks the viewers and her puppet students questions, allowing them to answer, and Miss A was so excited to shout out the right answers, it was fun watching her think and give an answer.
I love the “student” puppets, although I’m not sure what they are supposed to be, but Lenny, Penny, and Gifford are fuzzy, adorable, creatures. Occasionally it’s hard to understand Penny’s voice, but she’s my favorite. This trio brings the episode to life with their flower search, and fun lullaby based songs. There’s even a great sing-along as a bonus.
I love how Dwizzle Dee™ makes learning fun. Not only do we learn about colors and sizes, but we get to be silly and even pretend to be a bug. Miss A is deathly afraid of bugs, so I enjoyed the educational yet entertaining way we get to learn about them. I wish more programs used this method of learning.
Unfortunately the video ended way too soon for us, after 30 minutes I was hoping for more. We did get a preview of a great Spanish learning tool, El Gato and the sing-along I mentioned before, luckily Miss A wanted to watch it again, but I’d definitely love to see a longer length version of Dwizzle Dee™, perhaps those are in production???

Overall a great, but short video for kids aged 2-5, Miss A loved it and I think your child will too. You can find it at Amazon.com for only $9.95!
What do you use to teach your child colors, sizes, or imagination?
