Busch Gardens Williamsburg Kid’s Ride Reviews

Thank you Busch Gardens Williamsburg for letting us come visit the park.

My husband always says he loves the theming and how clean Busch Gardens’ parks are, and after visiting several theme parks this summer, I have to agree. Busch Gardens Williamsburg a great park for the whole family, whether you’re a child or an adult.

Since our girls are age 6 and under, this review focuses mostly on sections of the park that are kid-friendly rides and activities that we enjoyed during our visit.

For a theme park review, and roller coaster ratings by DaddyB check out his posts on Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Sesame Street Forest of Fun MommyB Knows Best

If you have little ones you’ll want to head to the Sesame Street Forest of Fun area right away. This area is Sesame Street themed and you’ll not only see Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and the gang on signs and in ride theming, but they also have regular performances that feature family-friendly songs that will really make you want to dance.

Sesame Street Forest of Fun Rides MommyB Knows Best

Sesame Street Forest of Fun touts some pretty cool rides including:

  • Bert and Ernie’s Loch Adventure – a fun canoe-type ride through a watery maze. The end of this ride has a criss-cross water stream effect, and my youngest wouldn’t go on for fear of being splashed, but my oldest loved it. I think this is a great ride. Height Requirements: 36″-56″ may ride alone; Walking to 36″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
  • Grover’s Alpine Express – is a great first roller coaster when your little one is ready. This ride is short, and fun, has no loops and does not go upside down or in any tunnels. **If it is your first time you may want to sit in the middle for less “air time” and a less thrilling ride. Height Requirements: 41″ to ride alone; 38″-41″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
  • Oscar’s Whirly Worms – is definitely a dizzying ride. If you are not one for spinning rides you may want to skip this one, but if that doesn’t bother you or your child this is a really fun ride. Height Requirements: 42″ to ride alone; walking to 42″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
  • Prince Elmo’s Spire – is one of the more “calm” rides in this section of the park. Riders are lifted into the air and slowly bounced up and down until they reach the bottom. Height Requirements: 42″ to ride alone; will require an adult for younger kids.

I really like this section of the park, they offer healthier versions of snacks for the kiddos, and also have a fun play area for the little ones or to let the kiddos run off some energy before or after rides. We loved meeting Elmo and Grover and had to head to the souvenir station to buy some adorable Abby Cadabby hats.

As a mom, the only things I would do differently would be to try to keep this section of the park as cool as possible. I noticed the walkways and lines for the rides aren’t covered and there’s little to no shade, which when you’re waiting in line for a while gets pretty hot. If Busch Gardens were to add some awnings or even misting stations close by that would be awesome.

MommyB Tip – If it’s hot out, remember your kiddo’s swimsuit because there’s a great spray ground area they can splash in and cool off.

Another fun kids area that has a lot of rides and activities that the younger ones can enjoy at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is the Land of the Dragons. This kids area is located in the Germany section of the park.

The rides in Land of the Dragons are great for toddlers through ages 6-7 (depending more on height and thrill level of your child.)

Land of Dragons Rides Busch Gardens MommyB Knows Best

The rides featured in this dragon-themed section are:

  • Eggery Deggery – is a ferris-wheel like ride that seats riders in a cracked dragon egg. This is a great ride for little ones, and usually has a decent ride time, although when we visited it was a very short ride. {I think that was just poor planning on the ride operator’s part with loading and unloading sequences though, but something that Busch Gardens may want to address.} Height Requirements: 36″-56″ may ride alone; Walking to 36″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
  • Flutter Sputter – is a fun flying dragon ride. Riders can choose to fly their dragons up higher in the air or leave them flying low to the ground. {My girls like the option of being able to control that portion of the ride.} Height Requirements: 36″-56″ may ride alone; Walking to 36″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
  • Chug-A-Tug – is your typical boat ride. I like the mesh protective walls, and that it is covered. I know so many parks that have rides with extremely hot seats in the summer because of the lack of rides being covered. Height Requirements: Children must be under 56″ to ride. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
  • Bug-A-Dug – is a ride that my girls seriously could have gone on 10 times in a row. This ride takes children on a circular “journey” over some very small hills. I love watching the children who are so excited  to “steer” their bug and wave to mom and dad. Height Requirements: Children must be under 56″ to ride. Hand-held infants are not permitted.

This section of the park is nicely wooded, so there is more shade than other sections of the park. There are also some really cool climbing nets and a tree house that older children may be interested in exploring while the younger ones are riding.

**On days when the park closes at 9, 10 & 11 p.m., Land of Dragons closes at 8 p.m. During shorter days, Land of Dragons stays open until the park closes.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has a few more children’s rides sprinkled throughout the park but the above sections are the main areas where children’s rides are heavily concentrated.

Also make sure you check out the cool steam train, sky lift {for those not afraid of heights}, the carousel, and the animals they have at the park as well.

For families with children, really this is a great park to visit. Plan to stay all day if possible, and enjoy the entire park, food, attractions, shows and the general beauty of the park.

PACK IT UP: This multipurpose GoGo Babyz Sidekick Bliss Diaper Bag offers more than meets the eye! This diaper bag also serves as a has a handy insulated snack bag, changing pad, and is a baby carrier. Not to mention that there are a bunch of side pockets and interior and exterior pockets that are great for bottles or sippy cups and other storage.

For a diaper bag, the Sidekick Bliss is a little on the smaller side, but I love the fact that it does so many jobs and I don’t have to carry the baby carrier with me in addition to a diaper bag. You can carry a child up to 35lbs safely using the Sidekick Bliss. {And Dads won’t mind carrying it either since it’s not girlie at all.} This is definitely a larger ticket item but if you’re up for splurging a little or going in on this gift with a few other friends it’s a steal for $120. Find it and a few other styles on their website: http://www.gogobabyz.com

The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens a Family Vacation in Pine Mountain Georgia

Callaway Gardens Collage MommyB
Thank you The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens for hosting our stay.

The first thing our little girls said when we checked into our room at The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens was, “this is like Heaven.” After telling them not to get too carried away, I was pretty pleased with the details as well.

The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens has beautiful, scenic grounds, that feature sparkling fountains, gorgeous flowers, and well-maintained plants and trees. On several walks we took, we were able to enjoy the sites and sounds of nature. We loved being able to walk out onto our large balcony and take in the view.

Callaway Gardens Collage MommyB

I believe that the exceptional qualities of anything lie in the small details. The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens have paid close attention to the fine details. As soon as we walked into the lodge my husband noticed the fragrant smell of country wood. We were greeted by a very welcoming face, and assisted to our room by an attentive staff member.

Once in our room we saw small details throughout the room. The room’s decor from the wall hangings, vases, beautifully tiled bathroom, premium spa toiletry products, and even the furniture in the room were all really nice pieces.

The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens MommyB Collage

Aside from the extraordinary touches, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy upon our arrival. Since there were 4 of us we requested 2 more towels for the girls and were taken care of by the attentive staff at Callaway Gardens.

While we were at Callaway Gardens our stay was fantastic, really there was only one aspect of the entire visit that we weren’t 100% satisfied with and that would be the food. There are two restaurants to choose from at the Lodge and Spa and both options were a little on the pricey side especially for families with younger children.

The one night we dined in, our service was extremely slow and all of our dishes were unfortunately not good (which we did note on our bill, for feedback to the staff). I will give our server a huge applause because she was running around like crazy  trying to make sure all her tables were taken care of. We also ordered the girls chicken tenders for lunch the day before and loved them. So for us the food was a hit or a miss.

Aside from the food, which really wasn’t a HUGE deal since we ate a few meals off site, our entire family enjoyed the stay at The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens. We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing time at the pool, and had fun walking to the beach. It was a great family vacation even though we were there for business too.

Kids at Callaway Gardens MommyB Collage

Callaway Gardens is kid-friendly, has great paths for strollers and also offers some fun kids activities as well. Their pool was perfect for our little beginning swimmers and the fact that there were steps and the pool had a large shallow end made them feel comfortable paddling away.

Overall our trip to Pine Mountain, Georgia was one of the most relaxing family trips that we have been on and we definitely attribute that to the surroundings and amenities that Callaway Gardens has to offer to their guests. We would certainly return to visit the Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens and recommend it for families who are looking to have a great vacation, surrounded by nature’s beauty, in a place that values customer service and small details.

If you want to check out The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens, head to their website: www.callawaylodgeandspa.com, find them on Facebook and Twitter too.

This is not a compensated post, however we received a complimentary stay in order to give a review on the services that The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens has to offer.

Things for Kids to Do at Six Flags Over Georgia

Thank you to Six Flags Over Georgia for accommodating my family in order to obtain information for this blog post.

While we were in Georgia for a blog conference, we decided to stop by Six Flags Over Georgia since it was on the way home. Being that DaddyB is also known as The Coaster Critic of course you can imagine that our girls are also thrill-seekers when it comes to amusement parks too. Although it was a little hot out on the day of our visit, we lathered on the sunscreen and made sure the girls were well hydrated. I had never visited Six Flags Over Georgia, and was excited to see how kid-friendly and family-friendly the park was. If you are looking to visit here are some of the things kids can enjoy at the park, and some things that I think they can improve on.

Six Flags Over Georgia Kids Fun Collage MommyB

Fun kids area – Bugs Bunny World has a very well-rounded blend of rides for the little ones to enjoy. Depending on their height and age, some of them can ride without a parent. Our girls seemed to enjoy all of the rides and although Miss A didn’t get a chance to ride Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster {the kid’s roller coaster}, she did enjoy the smaller rides too. The ride operators took care to ensure the children’s safety, and sometimes had to deny admission to children who were too large to safely ride.

Family friendly food – This park definitely has a lot of great options when it comes to family meal time and snacks. From chicken tenders to pizza, really anything kid friendly you can think of they offer. They even have a Johnny Rockets Express, yum! We enjoyed some delicious, refreshing Cold Stone Creamery ice cream during our visit. I loved the pavilions with picnic tables set up for park goers to conveniently use as well.

The park offers a dining pass for Six Flags Season Pass Holders to purchase so they can eat lunch and dinner at the park every time they visit. For more information on their Dining Pass head here: Six Flags Over Georgia Dining Pass

The things I didn’t love so much…

Not super stroller/wheelchair friendly – It was easy to get into the park initially with our stroller {we use a front to back double stroller}, however this park is extremely “hill-y” and hard to maneuver with little children. We’ll just say DaddyB got a really good workout during our visit. I know this isn’t something the park can specifically change, but perhaps there are small changes they can make like designing the paths a different way or creating stroller and wheelchair paths specifically for ease of use. It would certainly make the park day more enjoyable and encourage us to want to stay longer.

Lackluster entertainment – We were able to grab seats for the, “Looney Tunes We Got the Beat” performance in the afternoon. It was nice to sit down, in the shade and prepare to be entertained. Unfortunately, the show was pretty outdated and not as entertaining as I hoped it would be. My girls, who usually love watching similar shows at other parks didn’t really get into the characters {because they have no clue who they are} but hung in through the 20 minutes that the show lasted. I liked that they invited a few children on stage, and the area for the show had plenty of seating, but hope Six Flags Over Georgia considers possibly updating their character choices to reflect newer, more beloved characters and that will in turn reflect the quality of the show.

Looney Tunes We Got the Beat Six Flags Over Georgia MommyB

I also caught bits and pieces of the, “ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show” and for our family, I didn’t think it was appropriate, a lot of negative talk, name calling {fat, stupid} and some crude kid humor {Bad Boob}. This show is on every hour so when we visit again I would probably just be sure to be in a different area of the park around those times. In my opinion, I’d be okay with Six Flags getting rid of this show entirely, and finding a show that can have fun, wholesome entertainment.

All-in-all this is a beautiful, hill-y, but beautiful park and is well maintained. Six Flags Over Georgia has a lot to offer families in the way of rides, entertainment, and things for kids to do, and will probably be even more fun as our girls get a little older.

Have you ever been to Six Flags Over Georgia? What was your experience? What did you love? What didn’t you like?

This is not a compensated post, however we did receive media passes in order to review this park and amenities. All opinions and thoughts in this post are my own honest words. Your experiences may vary, and if they do I’d love to hear them in a comment below. Thanks for reading!!

Atlantic City Food – From the Boardwalk to the Casinos

This post is a product of my #jerseylove trip to Atlantic City. I would not have been able to write this post without the great hospitality of Caesar’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s Atlantic City, James’ Candy, and Steel Pier Atlantic City.

While the awesome bloggers from Social Media Moms and New Jersey Digital Moms were enjoying the #jerseylove social media for good trip, we were also able to partake in some of the yummier things that Atlantic City has to offer.

If you’re looking to start off your day with a little brunch, might I suggest a delicious hand-made crepe? The crepe station and omelet stations at Caesar’s Brunch at Nero’s were pretty popular. They also offered a wide variety of seafood, breakfast foods, desserts, pretty much a “you name it, we have it” brunch buffet. Everything I ate was delicious and fresh.

Caesars Brunch at Neros Crepe MommyB

While we were in town we got a, “Taste of AC” at the beautiful Harrah’s Resort and were able to try out some delicious dishes, view some amazing chocolate sculptures, and even try out some new drinks, like this “woo-hoo”:

Woo Hoo Taste of AC Drink MommyBKnowsBest

Here are some photos from our #jerseylove sneak peek, Taste of AC:

Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival Taste of AC Collage

If you like food and are interested in meeting the chefs behind the food, including renowned culinary experts and TV personalities like Rocco DiSpirito, The Neelys, and Robert Irvine. The 2013 Food and Wine Festival will be held July 25th through July 28th and tickets are being sold right now. Head over to www.caesars.com/acfoodandwine for more details and to purchase your tickets.

Let’s get a breath of fresh air and explore the boardwalk. When you step out onto those wooden planks a variety of food smells are wafting in the air. From the standard soft pretzels, funnel cake, ice cream, big-as-your-head pizza, cotton candy, french fries, cheesesteaks, and even the extreme new tastes and flavors like fried {insert name of anything you can deep fry here}, red velvet funnel cake, to anything your heart desires, the boardwalk in Atlantic City has it all.

A few of my samplings include a soft pretzel, but I honestly have no clue where it came from other than some lovely #jerseylove girls sharing it with me, and Steel Pier AC also treated us, literally to some of their sweet treats. I strongly encourage that you at least try one bit of these not-so-diet-friendly must-have boardwalk treats, all in moderation right?!?

Atlantic City Boardwalk Treats MommyB

And of course some delicious Fralingers Salt Water Taffy from James’ Candy shop.

Fralingers Salt Water Taffy Atlantic City MommyB

Let’s face it, after eating yummy, but food that’s not a full meal, you probably want to dig into a great meal right?? Atlantic City has that too. On our trip we were able to dine at some amazing restaurants.

As soon as you walk into Caesar’s Atlantic City you spot Mia restaurant. Not only is it the most visible in the hotel, but it is beautifully decorated, {I swear the white columns lead straight up to heaven}. The food was also very delicious, I loved the antipasto platter, and had to sit on my hands to stop myself from spoiling the rest of my dinner. I also found the creme brûlée to be THE best I have ever eaten, no joke, and it’s not even my favorite dessert, but was truly divine.

Mia Restaurant Atlantic City Collage MommyB

Another delectable fine dining restaurant we were able to visit was the Atlantic Grill, also located right inside Caesar’s Atlantic City resort. Only go to this restaurant if you want to taste some of the best food you’ll ever eat in your life, also note you pay for what you get, meaning, yes this restaurant is a little on the pricier side of things, but if you’re going to have one extravagant meal while you are in Atlantic City, or if you win in the casinos, definitely head here.

I was lucky enough to dine with Megan from Sweet Sadie Marie and Sherry from SuperExhausted. Each of us had “the best ever” of at least one of our dishes of food that we were served at Atlantic Grill. I had a “double yum moment” when I chose my burrata mozzarella that came with grilled garlic ciabatta, roasted tomatoes, aged balsamic, basil. Let me tell you, this is no ordinary mozzarella, it’s deliciously creamy on the inside because it’s made with not one, but two kinds of mozzarella. I truly could have eaten this just as my meal, but am glad I didn’t stop there. I also had the best filet mignon I have ever eaten, and I have been blessed to have been able to dine in a few other amazing high-end steak houses in the country, but this was the absolute best.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert, but with the amazing appetizers and entrees we were able to partake of, it really didn’t matter. One last note, Atlantic Grill was probably the least likely place I would have eaten, being that it is primarily known for it’s seafood selections and I have a shellfish allergy and don’t really like seafood in general, but I am glad that we ended up there.

Speaking of my allergy, Atlantic Grill was extremely caring and very cautious when it came to my allergy even being that they were a seafood restaurant. The maitre d’ expressly said that they take allergies very seriously and when I noticed the “Allergy” sticker on my plates I felt valued and appreciative that they took the extra care to make sure I could dine with them.

Here are some pictures of my delicious meal from Atlantic Grill, please do not lick your computer screen, I repeat, do not lick your computer screen.

If you’re not up to socializing or want to enjoy a great meal in your room, the room service at Caesars Atlantic City is not only delicious and convenient, but their staff members are delightful as well. {And yes I did have another steak, guess I was low on iron this trip}.

Desserts go last right??

If you stay at Caesars resort in Atlantic City, {which I HIGHLY recommend that you do, but that’s another post}, you will pass by Caffe Tazza, which is located right next door to Mia restaurant. My mouth was watering each time I passed by the glistening display cases. Unfortunately, I was too busy to order one of their delicious-looking pastries, and I only got a sample of one of their fresh made gelato flavors, but next time I visit, this is on my list. Wouldn’t it be on yours too??

All-in-all my taste buds were very happy with my trip to Atlantic City. If you need any recommendations feel free to leave a comment here and I’d love to tell you more in-depth about the delicious foods I was able to try out on my #jerseylove trip.

Thanks again to Caesar’s Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort, Steel Pier AC, and James’ Candy for providing these meals. My opinions of the services and food in this post are my own, honest opinions. Add Color to your Summer with Beau Ties

Thank you Beau Ties for providing me with great products to review for this blog post.

Happy Summer Solstice. Today is officially the first day of summer, did you know?!? I love all the seasons for different reasons of course. My favorite things about summer are fresh foods, travelling, swimming at the pool, making memories, and how colorful it is.

I’m especially loving the coral, yellow, and pinks, being the girlie girl that I am, so any sun dresses or accessories that I can find I am scooping up, which is one of the many reasons I loved the Sandy Lane Tote Bag from Beau Ties LTD. Beau Ties LTD. is more well-known for their bow ties and neck ties, however they also have a few things in their women’s line that I adore.

I like to be prepared, over prepared, so I often pack too much and have several bags in my van at one time each for a different purpose, so having a carry-all for the summer is a MUST for me, sometimes though the woven beach bags are hard to carry because they only have a hand loop rather than a strap, other times finding a big enough bag is an issue.

The Sandy Lane Tote Bag is the perfect size bag, it’s super durable while also being cute. The light colors make it perfect for the summer sun and there’s even a front pocket for me to store my phone, keys or pool passes. The straps are comfortable to wear, even when my bag is packed to the brim, AND it folds down very nicely and doesn’t take up much space in my suitcase when we’re travelling. Loooooveeeee!

Beau Ties LTD Tote Collage MommyB

I took the bag on a few trips recently, one to my Atlantic City #jerseylove trip and carried it all over, on the beach, in the resort, and in lots of rain, and I couldn’t ask for more in a bag. The bag itself does not have a zippered compartment, although I have found that most beach style totes do not have the zippered compartment standard either. I usually carry my wallet around rather than loose money or credit cards so that was not an issue for me, but something worthy of mention.

The Beau Ties LTD. tote bags currently come in 4 different fabric accent choices, all of which are great for summer. The bags come in two different sizes, Small and Large. If you’re not an over packer like me, or using it for shorter outing, you may prefer the Small size. Price varies depending on which size tote you choose and whether or not you add a monogram to the bag {yes they personalize, perfect for gifts!!!!}

I would highly recommend using Beau Ties LTD to brighten your summer. Check out their awesome totes that you won’t want to leave home without {trust me!}. Don’t forget Beau Ties LTD also carries a variety of products including neckties, bow ties, men’s pants, shirts, women’s accessories and more. Here are a few of my colorful summer favorites:

Check out Beau Ties LTD’s full line of products on their website here: www.beautiesltd.com and visit their Facebook and Twitter pages too.

What’s your favorite thing about summer?? Which item would you choose to purchase from Beau Ties LTD??

I received Beau Ties LTD products in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions in this post are my own, honest thoughts, your opinions may vary.

Why Superman Man of Steel Should Visit Atlantic City’s Steel Pier #jerseylove

Big, HUGE, thank you to the Steel Pier Amusement Pier for the #jerseylove hospitality and tour. We loved meeting you and even though you are super awesome, this post reflects my own honest opinions of my visit and my thoughts on the Steel Pier are based on my experiences at the park and not influenced by the fact that I indulged in the most delicious, complimentary cotton candy before visiting the park.

Don’t you think that the “Man of Steel” should visit Atlantic City’s Steel Pier?

No??

Well, you’re right he is busy saving lives, but…

Okay, I guess I see your point.

The Steel Pier is Super Fun, and here are some reasons that, the Man of Steel, aka Superman, or really any awesome hero like person {including yourself} may enjoy a visit to the Steel Pier.

Steel Pier Super Man MommyB

Super Ticket Prices: Steel Pier gives you the option to purchase as little as 1 ticket or an all day wrist band. So heros can choose the amount of money they spend based on the rides they want to get on, and the amount of time they have to spend at the park. Often times the park stays open very late into the night. {Great for super hero families too!!}

Superific Rides: If you’re bringing the little heros they’ll enjoy the Double Decker Carousel, Ferris Wheel, and the swings. For the people who are mildly adventurous Steel Pier features super roller coaster rides like Crazy Mouse and Loco Motion, and some pretty awesome rides. A few of us #jerseylove girls enjoyed the Flying Dutchman, which is a pirate ship type ride, Freedom Flier, a true wolf in sheeps clothing of amusment park rides, but super fun ride that goes upside down, and basically all over the place, and Rock-n-Roll, which you may have seen at other fairs or amusement parks, this ride is like a carousel for adults, spinning forward and backward as the cars freely swing side to side, my only wish for this ride was that the music was a little more upbeat to match the style of the ride.

Here are some of my pictures of the rides at Steel Pier {no one was riding yet because we braved a torrential downpour {{or something similar} for a tour of the facilities, see water on the ground before it was quickly cleaned up after the storm stopped.}} – Please do not use this photo, or any photos in this post without my written permission.

Along with the rides listed above, and a few more in the park, there are a couple of rides that you won’t want to miss, especially if you are a thrill-seeker.

The helicopter is a BIG attraction and Steel Pier is the secret lair home to the only helicopter ride in Atlantic City, making it a busy stop for performers and celebrities flying via helicopter into AC. This is one of few attractions at the Steel Pier that is not included in the all-day pass.

Speaking of additional attractions, Steel Pier is also home to the Slingshot, where you can experience Up To 5 G’s and you are shot into the air and “fly” 0-225 Feet in 1.5 Seconds at over 100 MPH. Yeah, only a super hero would want to ride this, see:

Okay, I’m not a superhero, but I sure felt like one riding this ride. Elizabeth from Edvacation.com and I rode together {pictured left}. We even saw a rainbow while we were bouncing in the air, which made this #jerseylove trip even greater. {I’ll be writing more about my experiences throughout the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!!}

Yummy Amusement Treats to Rescue your Tummy: That speak for themselves, WHAT?! I had to try it, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to tell you how yummy it was!!

Amazing History: The Steel Pier in Atlantic City originally opened on Saturday, June 18, 1898, which in just a couple of days will be 115 years!!! How amazing. During it’s hay-day, Steel Pier was where Miss America was crowned for several years and was once called the “Showplace of the Nation” and included such acts as the High Diving horse; Rex the Wonder Dog, a water-skiing canine in the 1930s; and musicians, Frank Sinatra and Al Jolson among others.

Don’t miss the next upcoming performance with Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses featuring Sarah Spiegel – Performing three shows July 27th, 2013 at 7:PM, 10:PM & Sunday July 28th, 2013 at 3:PM.

Awesome Things to Come for 2014 and beyond: Steel Pier has been touting some great new attractions and changes coming our way. Their plans include ideas to make the Steel Pier a year-round attraction, offer indoor banquet and event facilities, achieving a few theme park ride records, and adding some new rides.

Super Fun for Everyone!! I speak for all of the #jerseyshore attendees {without their permission} when I say we had a BLAST during our visit to Steel Pier. Even though it was raining, that didn’t stop us from wanting to check out the rides, take pictures and because the weather cooperated, were able to enjoy the park in it’s entirety.

I promise if you are in Atlantic City and you do not go visit the Steel Pier you will be kicking yourself. This family-owned operation is not only one of the most successful in the country, but it’s also got a lot of heart.

Being TheCoasterCritic’s wife, I geeked out a little when I got to meet Steel Pier Owner/President Anthony Catanoso, {Don’t you think he looks a little like Scott Baio?}, in all seriousness, the entire staff from management to ride operators and food vendors were so pleasant and really seemed like a family. I can’t wait to visit again, rain or shine!!
