Why Superman Man of Steel Should Visit Atlantic City’s Steel Pier #jerseylove

Big, HUGE, thank you to the Steel Pier Amusement Pier for the #jerseylove hospitality and tour. We loved meeting you and even though you are super awesome, this post reflects my own honest opinions of my visit and my thoughts on the Steel Pier are based on my experiences at the park and not influenced by the fact that I indulged in the most delicious, complimentary cotton candy before visiting the park.

Don’t you think that the “Man of Steel” should visit Atlantic City’s Steel Pier?

No??

Well, you’re right he is busy saving lives, but…

Okay, I guess I see your point.

The Steel Pier is Super Fun, and here are some reasons that, the Man of Steel, aka Superman, or really any awesome hero like person {including yourself} may enjoy a visit to the Steel Pier.

Steel Pier Super Man MommyB

Super Ticket Prices: Steel Pier gives you the option to purchase as little as 1 ticket or an all day wrist band. So heros can choose the amount of money they spend based on the rides they want to get on, and the amount of time they have to spend at the park. Often times the park stays open very late into the night. {Great for super hero families too!!}

Superific Rides: If you’re bringing the little heros they’ll enjoy the Double Decker Carousel, Ferris Wheel, and the swings. For the people who are mildly adventurous Steel Pier features super roller coaster rides like Crazy Mouse and Loco Motion, and some pretty awesome rides. A few of us #jerseylove girls enjoyed the Flying Dutchman, which is a pirate ship type ride, Freedom Flier, a true wolf in sheeps clothing of amusment park rides, but super fun ride that goes upside down, and basically all over the place, and Rock-n-Roll, which you may have seen at other fairs or amusement parks, this ride is like a carousel for adults, spinning forward and backward as the cars freely swing side to side, my only wish for this ride was that the music was a little more upbeat to match the style of the ride.

Here are some of my pictures of the rides at Steel Pier {no one was riding yet because we braved a torrential downpour {{or something similar} for a tour of the facilities, see water on the ground before it was quickly cleaned up after the storm stopped.}} – Please do not use this photo, or any photos in this post without my written permission.

Steel Pier Amusement Park Rides New Jersey Collage MommyB

Along with the rides listed above, and a few more in the park, there are a couple of rides that you won’t want to miss, especially if you are a thrill-seeker.

The helicopter is a BIG attraction and Steel Pier is the secret lair home to the only helicopter ride in Atlantic City, making it a busy stop for performers and celebrities flying via helicopter into AC. This is one of few attractions at the Steel Pier that is not included in the all-day pass.

Steel Pier Helicopter MommyB

Speaking of additional attractions, Steel Pier is also home to the Slingshot, where you can experience Up To 5 G’s and you are shot into the air and “fly” 0-225 Feet in 1.5 Seconds at over 100 MPH. Yeah, only a super hero would want to ride this, see:

Slingshot Ride Steel Pier Collage MommyB

Okay, I’m not a superhero, but I sure felt like one riding this ride. Elizabeth from Edvacation.com and I rode together {pictured left}. We even saw a rainbow while we were bouncing in the air, which made this #jerseylove trip even greater. {I’ll be writing more about my experiences throughout the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!!}

Yummy Amusement Treats to Rescue your Tummy: That speak for themselves, WHAT?! I had to try it, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to tell you how yummy it was!!

Amazing History: The Steel Pier in Atlantic City originally opened on Saturday, June 18, 1898, which in just a couple of days will be 115 years!!! How amazing. During it’s hay-day, Steel Pier was where Miss America was crowned for several years and was once called the “Showplace of the Nation” and included such acts as the High Diving horse; Rex the Wonder Dog, a water-skiing canine in the 1930s; and musicians, Frank Sinatra and Al Jolson among others.

Steel Pier History Wall MommyB

Don’t miss the next upcoming performance with Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses featuring Sarah Spiegel – Performing three shows July 27th, 2013 at 7:PM, 10:PM & Sunday July 28th, 2013 at 3:PM.

Awesome Things to Come for 2014 and beyond: Steel Pier has been touting some great new attractions and changes coming our way. Their plans include ideas to make the Steel Pier a year-round attraction, offer indoor banquet and event facilities, achieving a few theme park ride records, and adding some new rides.

Steel Pier New Additions Design MommyB

Super Fun for Everyone!! I speak for all of the #jerseyshore attendees {without their permission} when I say we had a BLAST during our visit to Steel Pier. Even though it was raining, that didn’t stop us from wanting to check out the rides, take pictures and because the weather cooperated, were able to enjoy the park in it’s entirety.

Crazy Mouse Steel Pier MommyB

I promise if you are in Atlantic City and you do not go visit the Steel Pier you will be kicking yourself. This family-owned operation is not only one of the most successful in the country, but it’s also got a lot of heart.

Being TheCoasterCritic’s wife, I geeked out a little when I got to meet Steel Pier Owner/President Anthony Catanoso, {Don’t you think he looks a little like Scott Baio?}, in all seriousness, the entire staff from management to ride operators and food vendors were so pleasant and really seemed like a family. I can’t wait to visit again, rain or shine!!

Make sure you check them out Steel Pier on Facebook and Twitter too and let them know you have #jerseylove!

Why We Love Raggs Kids Show

**Thanks to Raggs PR for sending us some great products to try out.**

15 years before they appeared on broadcast television Raggs was created, by a parent, for their six year old. Luckily, the idea grew and now my children, and yours are able to reap the benefits of learning and laughter from Raggs television shows, DVDs, concerts/performances, an interactive website, and even Raggs themed products.

My girls enjoyed watching The Wiggles and often on the same station we would continue watching programming, which included Raggs. They liked how diverse the characters were and of course the fact that Raggs and his friends were in a band didn’t hurt either, {my girls love singing and dancing}. Although, I must admit we never really made it one of our regular shows…until we got a chance to check out more episodes on DVD recently.

Upon opening the package from Raggs, my girls fell in love with the plush Raggs stuffed toy {which you can purchase on their website}. Not only was he a great size but he was very soft, and features a “hidden” pocket to store treasure {say my girls}.

Raggs and Miss A MommyB

We are very mindful of what our girls watch and want it to be not only entertaining but educational as well. After watching Raggs with them, I truly feel that this programing in wholesome and worth watching for any family. Not to mention that some of the songs featured in the show are also on their CD. We love dancing to the Raggs music and it’s also a safe CD to have in for children’s parties and play dates as well.

Raggs and his friends, Razzles, Pido, B. Max, and Triby not only love to play music, but they love to be active and are always learning from situations they stumble upon. We love that their website features so many activities, videos and information for us to learn and play more with Raggs and his friends.

Raggs Website

Miss A regularly asked for Raggs as her video and music choices in the car on our trips, and this girl has a lot of choices so that certainly means a lot coming from her. Both of my girls, were laughing and really getting into dancing and listening to Raggs and the other characters on the show, so much that we have truly become fans of Raggs and no longer occasional watchers.

Raggs Collage MommyB

Make sure you check out Raggs for your family by visiting their newly updated and super interactive website at Raggs.com, we love Pido’s Rockin’ Code printable sheet, Raggs TV games, and their shop! Miss A and Lil C are loving the activity and sticker books we got, perfect for summer rest time, so they can calm down, focus, and relax with their favorite characters.

I received products from Raggs in order to give my honest, thorough opinions on their services and products. The words and thoughts expressed in this post are my own, however yours may vary.

What’s App-enning?? App Series: Appy Mother’s Day

Hey hey, what’s App-enning? Appy early Mother’s Day! Today I’m highlighting a great, FREE, app for mom just in time for Mother’s Day, and also snuck in some fun and educational apps for the kiddos that ultimately helps mom out too, {think grocery store, doctor’s office, road trip…}

MommyB What's App-enning Series

As moms {and parents in general} we’re always recording videos of our kiddos. If you’re like me and you have an iPhone you may whip that thing out everytime your kiddo does something cute, which around these parts is pretty often! The conundrum….my files are ALWAYS way to big to go anywhere other than straight to my laptop. I can’t send them to grandmom via text or hubby through email and by the time I do upload them to my computer I pretty much forget who I wanted to send them to in the first place. {I can claim mommy brain even though Lil’ C is 3 right?!?}

Enter: Joya, a Godsend iPhone app that lets you send videos regardless of their size to any recipient with text or email abilities.  Yep, you heard me right, they don’t need an iPhone or the app themselves, although if they have one they may also want to download it.  plus another great feature is that the recipient of your videos doesn’t have to worry about having space to download or store the videos because Joya creates a URL for easy viewing. Another reason this app rocks is the fact that it’s so discrete, keeping your videos private.

Joya App

For more on Joya visit getjoya.com and download it to your iPhone for free!

Now for the kiddos:

If you are a regular appster you may have some of the Disney themed apps, but have you see Disney Junior Appisodes yet?? These cool apps allow your child to not only watch a Disney Junior show, but it allows them to become a part of the episode. Children interact with the app by saying key phrases and words, shaking the device, and clicking on the screen.

The directions given by Disney Junior characters are easy for little ones and exciting for the bigger ones. We love the fact that we can not only watch our favorite shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates, but that we can almost jump into their world through these apps.

Lil’ C especially likes to play these apps over and over again.

Disney Junior Appisodes

Download Disney Junior Appisodes here: appstore.com/disneyjuniorappisodes

Alien Buddies is great app little ones preschool through Kindergarten age. This app created by ArtGig Apps allow children to play matching games, dot-to-dots, puzzles, and play with stickers they earn. Each game has different levels based on your child’s skills. The game is easy enough for Lil’ C {age 3} and still fun for our advanced Miss A {almost 6 years}. Lil’ C loves it and is progressing through the levels, definitely one of our favorites.

Alien Buddies App

Head to their website to get more info and also check out the extra alien goodies: alien-buddies.com and check out ArtGig App’s other iPad, iPhone, and iPod learning apps for children of all ages.

Thanks to Disney Junior and Artgig Apps for providing me with access to the apps to share with my children and get their input for this review.

Cool Children’s Photo Alarm Clock by Zazoo Kids

ZAZOO Photo Clock helps kids and parents get more sleep. It’s an innovative sleep solution for children who wake too early or do not stay in bed all night. Parents can use the pre-programmed images or personalized options set to an alarm time, and the screen will give children visual cues when it’s time to get out of bed. The photo clock grows with your child with features including a rotating photo frame, music, audio book, alarm clock and more.

Miss A is extremely interested in time and constantly asking questions about the time. “What time is it?” “What time do I have to go to bed?” “When can we work on crafts?” With the Zazoo photo clock I love that I can give her a time and she can check her clock and make decisions based on how much or little time she has.

Not only is this product a traditional clock but it is also an alarm clock.

Miss A is a very bright little lady, but often struggles with the concept of time, just like most kids her age. Especially since being at home with me for several years, on a light schedule and being able to play, come and go as we pleased. I love the fact that this photo clock offers an alarm and also offers a change in image when the alarm goes off to help let Miss A know when it’s time to wake up or time for rest to be over.

Not only is this product a traditional clock but it also features images.

The Zazoo Kids clock allows you to choose standard images from their collection (already on the device) or you can upload photos of your child or family or whatever images you choose from your computer directly to the clock.

To get your kiddos even more involved in the process and helping them understand the transition, consider taking a photo of your child resting and one of them wide awake and using those images for your rest and awake settings.

Not only is this product a traditional clock but it is also plays music that is already stored on the device or songs that you upload from your personal computer. My little girls love to listen to music in their rooms while they play or clean up, this is a great feature also to help them wind down for rest. I love that it’s a feature of the Zazoo Kids clock.

Not only is this product a traditional clock but you can also personalize it even more by adding your child’s name or a very short message.

This product is very easy to use, even if you aren’t very familiar with technology. I hooked my Zazoo Kids clock up to my laptop using the included USB cord, found the device that was named “Memory” (may vary), and pasted copies of images into the folder. The transfer was very quick and after I disconnected the device, was instantly available for viewing purposes. {Aren’t they cute!??!}

Zazoo Kids MommyB

This would also be a great for travel, especially for trips without mom and dad to a grandparent’s house. Easily upload images, video, and messages and they’ll be excited to be able to see you even though they’re not with you.

Currently there are several different styles of clock frames to choose from, for both genders. These clocks retail for $89.99, but remember they aren’t just clocks, they play music, can be personalized, have an alarm, and are essentially a digital frame, so you’re combining several products into one.

In my opinion this product seems pretty durable, but at the price point, it’s probably not something I would have within reach of my 3 year old, as for my almost 6 year old, and based on her personality and maturity I wouldn’t have a worry there. Obviously you know your children best regarding play and responsibility.

I encourage you to head to Zazoo Kids’ website to check out details and also if you haven’t already, check out the video above for more information and to see the Zazoo Kids clock in action.

I received the Zazoo Kids clock sample in order to perform this review and to give you my honest opinions. This post was written with integrity. Your opinions on this product may vary.

A Learning Adventure with Octonauts Toys

We are big Disney Junior fans, if you don’t know you should check out our Sofia the First Party Tips, Doc McStuffins show review, not to mention other Disney related goodness, just search “Disney” on the site. On that same note, one of my girls favorite Disney Junior fans, among Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and the new Henry Hugglemonster is Octonauts.

For real, I didn’t think they would get into this show when they first started watching it. I’m not sure why, but compared to the other shows they tend to like this one seemed like one of the “not like the others” shows. Much to my surprise Octonauts, is one of their favorite shows, and one that they like to watch over and over again.

We love the crew of scientists and explorers that make up the Octonauts team. Captain Barnacles. Kwazzi, Peso, Shellington, Tweak, Dashi, and Tunip to name a few, all play an amazing part of the team work that it takes for this crew to do their job, and help sea creatures.

Because the girls are so enthralled by the work the Octonauts do and love learning about sea creatures, we were beyond excited to hear that they were coming out with a toy line. {See faces in photo below for reaction.}

No joke, this was their real expression when they opened their eyes and saw the Octonauts toys.

No joke, this was their real expression when they opened their eyes and saw the Octonauts toys.

MommyB Octonauts Toy Review

In that line up are some amazing toys that you and your kiddos can collect yourselves. Including:

Octonauts Octopod Playset – Retailing for $34.99 this cool playset is just like the one on the TV show, with over 10 play pieces including creatures, some of the Octonauts crew members, rescue tools, a clip-on Octo-Alert that has original Octonauts sounds and phrases.

***I recommend putting the stickers on before attaching the pods to the main piece otherwise it’s a tad more challenging. Otherwise this set is easy to put together and my girls love the “surprise” door. I like that some pieces clip to the Octopod, but do wish there was a compartment so we could move the Octopod and it’s pieces a little easier.

Octonauts Gup-B Mission Vehicle & Kwazzi – Retailing for $14.99 this is a great piece to purchase as a gift or add to your collection. This set includes Kwazzi, the Gup-B, a color-changing sea creature and a rescue tool.

***This toy is great for water play, and my girls loved that it was easy to get any of the Octonauts rescue crew in and out of the vehicle easily. It seems very sturdy and is great for hours of play.

Rescue Assortment Barnacles & Tunip – Retailing for $9.99 this is another piece that is great for a gift or just to add more crew members to your collection. Squirt water with Tunip, or enjoy hiding the color-changing sea creatures and playing with the clamshell that opens and closes.

***The girls adore Tunip and loved even more that they could squirt water with him, they also thought the clam was really cool as it opens and closes in the water.

Octonauts Octo-Compass – Retailing for $12.99 this is a MUST BUY! If your children love Octonauts, this compass has more than 60 phrases and sounds from the show.

*** The sounds don’t get repetitive and the kids loved pretending they were part of the crew and answering the characters. This and the Octopod were my favorite from the bunch although we enjoyed all the toys.

For more information on Octonauts in general make sure you check out their website Octonauts.com for games and adventures. Also check out their Facebook page. To shop for these awesome toys make sure you head to Toys “R” Us before they sell out!

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters – Predaking Review

As a Dad to two daughters, I get plenty of chances to play with toys. Of course, the majority of them don’t look like the toys I played with as a kid. So, I was excited to help out MommyB by reviewing the new PredaKing Transformer.

I was impressed with the amount of detail on PredaKing. The dragon heads have skin like spikes and extensions. There’s some hieroglyphic-like lettering on the wings, and Overall, he’s one of the best-looking Transformers I’ve seen. Admittedly, I only have a handful from the last 4 or 5 years. He’s very pose-able in his robot form with joints in his legs and arms. Also, his claw-like hands open to hold his weapons. As a robot, his weapons are two of his three dragon heads that turn into working rocket-launcher like guns.

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters MommyB

It’s rated a 2 out 3 on the difficulty scale and I would say that’s probably accurate. I had trouble changing it from robot to dragon mode the first time as the instructions were good, but not great. I may be a little rusty though and Transformer fans used to playing with the current generation of these toys might not have any problem at all.

I’m partial to vehicle-based Transformers, but the dragon mode looks pretty good. The guns turn into the other two dragon heads and just as when they were guns, they shoot fireballs. So parents, be aware that this toy has projectiles! Overall, Predaking is a great-looking Transformer that I’d imagine kids would have a lot of fun with. Again, I’d say it was a little difficult to transform, so I’d recommend it for slightly older kids or those with lots of experience.

How many of your kiddos play with Transformers??

I received a Hasbro Transformers Prime Beast Hunters action figure in order to give you my honest thoughts on this product. The thoughts and opinons above are my own, yours may vary.

Incredimail – New iPad App

Today I am able to share with you a little more about Incredimail, and their awesome new iPad App. The new App introduces a completely new UI concept for email that allows users to flip, peak, and quickly scan through their emails to provide the most pleasant email experience.

Incredimail logo

Having three email addresses {one for personal, one for MommyBKnowsBest.com and one for TheCharlotteMoms.com} I feel like I am always “digging” through emails. I have several blog subscriptions to sites that I totally adore, receive Facebook notifications for everything that’s happening on my three pages, get a bunch of regular emails from companies with coupons and updates, and of course emails from friends/family, and pr that I work with or that want to work with me.

While you may not have three emails {or maybe you have more} going through email can be a bit boring and I know for me, I often spend way too much time reading emails that I could have just deleted had I been able to see all the contents without clicking on it and reading all the way through.

First, you have to check out this video to learn more about all the awesome things that the Incredimail iPad App can do and then I’ll tell you a few of my favorite things I discovered while using the App myself.

How cool right? I love that it’s not like anything I’ve seen or used yet and there are so many features that can make our lives simpler when it comes to email, and Incredimail is available for free download in the App Store.

Personally, I love the ease of use that the new Incredimail iPad App offers. Their platform is so cool and let’s me see my emails, and images associated with the emails right on my screen. I can view about 5-7 emails at a time, depending on the length of the emails. I love that I can hover over the email and scroll to read the entire thing or skip ahead to another email. I can also delete the work emails that say, “Good Morning XXX” instead of, “Good Morning MommyB/Jenn” right away without having to officially open it.

Incredimail iPad App Interface

This innovative Incredimail iPad email App layout also makes it easy to scroll though pages of emails so I can determine which emails are urgent and which can wait, for me, it’s a game changer and I prefer it over my current email platform, now I’m spoiled!

I also enjoy the options that Incredimail give, allowing users to expressing their personality or even emotions through emails. Email is slowly becoming more personalized with signatures, and emoticons, however there is still much to be desired when it comes to sending an email to let that person know who you are. While email will never rival face-to-face when it comes to figuring out a person’s intent, Incredimail takes personalization one step closer.

I can send a message using your favorite of several different stationary choices for each and every email. I can only imagine that selection will grow as Incredimail grows as well.

Incredimail iPad App compose MommyBKnowsBest

Incredimail iPad App Stationary MommyBKnowsBest

Adding photos to your email from your camera roll is easy, in fact I emailed the above screenshots from my iPad to my laptop to show you email options and what it looks like when you compose an email from Incredimail’s iPad App. But that’s not all you can do with Incredimail.

Users can enjoy the following services with Incredimail for the iPad, including:

  • Unified Inbox: Add as many email accounts as you want and view them in a unified inbox, or view each account separately. Incredimail currently supports Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, and any other IMAP account.
  • Quick Peeks: See a quick preview of emails directly from the inbox, without having to open them.
  • Photo Inbox: In addition to the regular email inbox, enjoy a photo inbox that features photos from friends and family, keeping you fully up to date with the people that matter most (starting with Facebook photos, others will be added soon).
  • Link Previews (a.k.a. Snippets): All links sent to you including photos, videos and articles, are presented as a preview within the email for a pleasant and uninterrupted email experience. Links you send are also viewed as previews by the email recipient.
  • Email Stationery: Enjoy a specially designed email stationery collection to add a personal style to emails you send. Additional stationery and rich content coming soon.
  • Built-In Web Browser: Search and browse the web right inside your inbox, ensuring an uninterrupted experience.
  • Future features to include: POP3 email support, other social platforms like Facebook messages, Twitter and LinkedIn, and more photo integration with Picasa Web, Flickr and Instagram.

Let’s see your email platform do that!! Seriously though, through using this App I have found that I don’t want to revert back to my old email system, that seems both boring and time consuming. Whether you use email only as a means to communicate with others, or if your entire day runs on email, I think it’s a great App and would highly recommend downloading the free Incredimail iPad App, but I’m warning you, you may not want to ever switch back…

Check out Incredimail for yourself and download the FREE App here: Incredimail iPad App, check them out on Facebook too and tell me what you think!!

Is there anything that bother’s you about your current email system? What is it?

I received compensation for this post. However, the thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own, honest opinions.

Celebrate Milestones with Build-A-Bear

It seems like when our children are growing up there are so many milestones to be celebrated. When they’re babies we look forward to them holding their head up, sleeping through the night, and rolling over. Then as toddlers we welcome the day they walk, talk, and their personality shines, and the milestones continue.

As my girls grow I find myself in some pretty big milestone times. Lil’ C will be 3 at the end of March and becoming a big girl. We’re working on potty training, getting a big girl bed, but mostly saying, “goodbye” to paci {her pacifier.} Miss A on the other hand is now in Kindergarten, and as of today has lost 2 of her baby teeth. Those are some pretty big milestones if you ask me. And I’m not the only one who has great things to celebrate. As I talk to a lot of my friends and even asked some of you via my Facebook and Twitter accounts, your children are growing and accomplishing some pretty awesome things too.

I love celebrations, big or small, and enjoy making my girls feel special during those moments, in hopes that they’ll be excited at their progress and be able to hold those memories dear too. As I thought more about celebrating milestones my thoughts kept returning to one of our favorite places to celebrate, Build-A-Bear Workshop®. In the past we have taken our girls for different occasions, but never experienced a true Build-A-Bear® party.

Thanks to Build-A-Bear Workshop® we were able to invite some friends who were also celebrating milestones to experience and rejoice in their accomplishments. Let me introduce you to our friends and tell you a little more about their milestones.

Lil’ C, who you may recognize as the youngest representative of the B Family, celebrated giving up, or saying, “goodbye” to her pacifier. We brought one of her pacis and she chose whether to put it in her bear’s hand, foot, or tummy. She chose Rainbow Bear’s {the name she gave her bear}, foot, so she could feel it whenever she wanted to. In celebrating this milestone it made the transition a little easier for her and is a big step towards “big girlhood”.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Paci

Miss A, is Lil’ C’s big sister, and obviously my daughter. When I approached Build-A-Bear Miss A had lost her first tooth, in the process of waiting for the date of our party she lost another! Losing a tooth for us, was a huge deal because it is one of the biggest physical changes of a Kindergartner. If you are celebrating a lost tooth you could purchase a pouch for the tooth, or put the tooth inside the bear if you choose.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Tooth

Miss P, actually had two pretty big milestones. She’s a potty-trained girl, which for some of us parents, getting through potty-training is quite the challenge and either way, it’s a great accomplishment and totally worth celebrating. P also recently started preschool, what a big girl!!

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Potty Train

Miss T is growing by the minute, just like most Kindergartners she’s diving into academics. When a child learns to read and starts to enjoy it and want to read to their parents that’s a huge success. Miss T celebrated her accomplishment with a pink Build-A-Bear® Hello Kitty® she had been eyeing for a while.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Reading

Becoming a sibling is pretty cool, in fact, when both my girls arrived my mom went to Build-A-Bear® and made them their very first teddy bears. Miss A got to help make a bear for Lil’ C when I was in the hospital after her delivery, a special milestone indeed. Now it’s Miss L’s turn to be a big sister, her mom is expecting her little brother this summer and she’s elated for him to join her family. It’s always nice to celebrate both the baby, but also the new big sister or big brother too!

Last but not least, some milestones can be a little bit scary or cause children to be a little nervous, especially when it involves some pretty big changes. When your child experiences life changes sometimes they’ll need a little extra comforting that a stuffed friend from Build-A-Bear® can provide, or some may deserve a reward for being such a big kid. Miss S recently moved to North Carolina, and her transition has been great. Miss S has been making new friends and enjoying discovering Charlotte, now she has a new friend to accompany her.

Build-A-Bear Milestone Party Moving

As I mentioned above, we had never enjoyed the experience of a Build-A-Bear® party.Moms and Dad (namely DaddyB – big props) helped the girls choose the animal of their choice, which they then named, stuffed, washed, and dressed. Not surprisingly, each girl chose an outfit and shoes from Build-A-Bear’s® Disney Princess line to make their special friend look as fancy as ever.

I was specifically impressed with the way that our Build-A-Bear® party associate, Michael, was professional, but moreover fun {which wasn’t necessarily a surprise, but enjoyed by all}. He kept the girls engaged and giggling the entire time, and even got the parents involved and dancing too! As a mom who’s thrown a bunch of parties, I know first-hand that it’s a challenge to make sure all of the kids are entertained. Michael made sure he gave the girls who were not building their stuffed animal games to play, and activities to participate in which kept them in one area of the store and gave us the perfect party experience. All of the parents commented on how much fun they and their child had during our party and it was one of the best, {if not best ever} ways to celebrate our children’s milestones. If your child is about to celebrate a milestone, or accomplished something awesome, consider taking them to Build-A-Bear® to pick out a new friend, or chat with your friends and have a Build-A-Bear® Milestone party of your own, the cost is no more than what you would pay for the items on your own, and you can make it an even bigger event for everyone to enjoy and remember.

Head to Build-A-Bear®’s website www.buildabear.com for more information or shop around and make sure you’re following them on Facebook and Twitter for fun updates, contests, and the newest friends in stores and online.

Big thanks again to Build-A-Bear® Workshop for the great hospitality and for helping us celebrate milestones. I was not compensated for this post, and all opinions expressed by myself, parents, or children involved in this party are honest, real opinions
