New Beginnings Review and Giveaway {Closed}

NewBeginnings-logoFrom Old School to New School, the memories are flooding back. It seems like everything I watched, or played with when I was a child is coming back into style. From Strawberry Shortcake the television show to the plush Care Bear Dolls, I’m in a total a blast from the past. Anyone else feel that way?

New Beginnings is a company after my own heart, or at least my preschool heart. I used to love my pull-toys and take them with me where ever I went, neither rain, nor sleet would┬áseparate┬áus and while I don’t have any pictures of me and my favorite buddies, here is a picture of two of two of them, (these are not photos of the actual toys because, well I’m sure they’ve turned to dust after this many years čÖé .)

Build-A-Bear: Friendship Valley Wii Review

Join Build-A-Bear’s favorite characters and prepare Build-A-Bearville for the town’s big celebration in┬áBuild-a-Bear Workshop: Friendship Valley. If you’re looking for a simple, non-violent, Nintendo Wii game this is a great pick.

The Wheels on the Bus Sing-Along Review

Wheels on the BusGoing on a family vacation this summer? Dreading the long car rides? Hmm, me too. Luckily, I got this really cool activity set by Scholastic to try out. The Wheels on the Bus Sing-Along Travel Kit not only has some great items that will come in handy when you’re on the road.

Miss A wanted to open it and play right away, but I made her save it for a trip, I know mean mommy! The kit is pretty cool, it comes in a big box with a velcro closure and a plastic handle, Miss A loved carrying it all around the house and to the “car”. Two DVDs are included in their own DVD boxes, There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly and The Wheels on the Bus. A The Wheels on the Bus CD, a Sing-Along Travel Kit Activity Booklet, and a 4 pack of crayons.

I like that the DVDs are a good amount of time, each about 65 minutes plus extras, although I haven’t quite figured out how to play anything but the main movie in our van. The movies feature several stories like, Frog Went A-Courtin’, Giraffes Can’t Dance, Bugs! Bugs! Bugs, and of course their title videos, There Was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly and The Wheels on the Bus. Read More

Guidecraft Toybox Review and Giveaway{CLOSED}

guidecraft logo.gifMiss A just had her 3rd birthday party and as I look around at the house I see thousands of plastic toys upon toys, sometimes the amount of toys she has makes me go bonkers, and Baby C hasn’t even started to accumulate any yet!

Not only am I unimpressed by the quality of most of these toys, but the little fabric bins I have them in are starting to burst at the seams, thank goodness for both the amazing quality and durability that Guidecraft offers in all of their toys, but especially this amazing Noah’s Ark Toy Box I got to try out.

From taking the pieces out of the packaging to Little Miss A helping me fill it up with her toys we had an overall great experience and here’s how it all went down…

Googly® Bands Review

Googly BandsAre you into the Googly┬« Band craze?? If not, you should be! Googly┬« Bands are the hottest collectibles around these days. Personally I’ve seen teens down to toddlers wearing these brightly colored trend addiction and I think it’s a pretty fun and cheap hobby to have.

Googly┬« Bands are retailing for about $1 for 12 bands at most stores including Walmart and Walgreens this month! Their price is a lot less than other competitors and really if you ask me I don’t see a difference between the Bands/Bandz, so why not collect the ones that are more cost efficient?!?
