Are you into the Googly® Band craze?? If not, you should be! Googly® Bands are the hottest collectibles around these days. Personally I’ve seen teens down to toddlers wearing these brightly colored trend addiction and I think it’s a pretty fun and cheap hobby to have.
Googly® Bands are retailing for about $1 for 12 bands at most stores including Walmart and Walgreens this month! Their price is a lot less than other competitors and really if you ask me I don’t see a difference between the Bands/Bandz, so why not collect the ones that are more cost efficient?!?
Since my girls are a very big 3 years old and a small 8.5 week old this review will have to be more of a spotlight (check out my explanation on reviews vs. spotlights here .)
Let me tell you a little bit about Leg Huggers. Leg Huggers was born from this amazing kids line, Agoo Apparel. Agoo sells so many great things from Leg Huggers, to Tushie Huggers (that review will come later,) to other great active wear, so you know they know their stuff.
What makes Leg Huggers different than other baby leg warmers? Well Leg Huggers are made from bamboo, you may be thinking, what’s so great about bamboo. Well, if you haven’t already heard, bamboo is one of the world’s best sustainable resources, meaning that it grows at an amazing rate so they’re not harming any crops or endangering any animals. It also has amazing anti-bacterial properties and helps wicks moisture away from baby’s delicate skin. So it’s great for baby and the environment! Read More
The first time I became a mom everything was new to me, even from the moments after recovering from my c-section. This time around, with Baby C, I decided that a lot of things would be different. From what I packed in my hospital bag to the way I nursed and even the way I put Baby C down for naps and sleep.
A few other decisions I had made were regarding choices that were hopefully going to make my stay in the hospital and even being at home easier. With Little Miss A I wore the hospital gown the entire time I was in the hospital, which was fine, but this time I thought wearing something different during my stay would make me feel more fresh and prettier, so I opted for Japanese Weekend Maternity wear. Let me tell you I am so glad that I found Japanese Weekend Maternity!
With Father’s Day just around the corner, I’ve been looking for some gift alternatives to the usual suspects…you know, the tie, cuff links, macaroni anything. Past years we’ve gotten Daddy B, a trip to a theme park, (in case you don’t know he’s a roller coaster superstar see thecoastercritic.com), a hand-painted shirt with Miss A’s handprints, handmade cards, and sort of a Wii 😉
Nonetheless, we try to make each year special with at least one homemade element, and this year will not be any different. I did however find these amazing shirts that I just fell in love with. They’re like a Father’s Day card for years that daddy can wear all around to show his fatherly pride.
If you’re in my shoes Thanks Dad has some great inspired apparel for the Dad you’re celebrating. Read More

Sometimes it’s hard to be trendy when you’re a mom, well at least for us “real” moms, it takes work. I know for me I didn’t roll out of the hospital maternity ward in the latest fashions, in fact I was happy just to be able to wear my pregnancy clothes while my new mom body took shape.
With this second pregnancy I felt like I was a little more well versed in being a mom who had it more together. I found that a lot of times non-maternity clothes looked best on me. For some reason maternity manufacturers think making your baby bump look bigger is the ultimate goal, well, if you’re like me I didn’t need or want to accentuate the bump, I just wanted to look like a cute mommy with a little bit of fashion sense.
For both my pregnancy and post-pregnancy bodies I turned to Trend Addictions for the latest trends with clothing that would be in style and flatter my body too. Read More
Baby C has completed her first review 🙂 Hooray!!
Like most babies, little Baby C is not a huge fan of baths (yet). She’s not a huge fan of being naked and cold and wet, until it comes to hair washing time, and then she’s in heaven. We are currently giving her sponge baths on the kitchen counter, but that’s going to change soon since she has her very own “big girl” belly button. Hooray for her first milestone! So of course we have the baby wash, washcloths, and water, but we also have the Bebe Au Lait Hooded Infant Bath Towel.
Since this is our second child we’ve accumulated about 10 cute hooded towels, but this Bebe Au Lait towel is my favorite by far. In fact, I’m sad when we have to wash it because then I can’t use it. When I gave Baby C her bath using this towel was the first time she didn’t cry during bath, it could have been the fact that mommy is faster at bathing than Daddy B, but I really think it was the comfort and warmth of this towel. I love seeing newborn babies in the hospital, not only are they an amazing blessing but they also look like cute little burritos swaddled in their blankets. I don’t think I ever got the hang of wrapping Little Miss A up quite like they did at the hospital though. I think I’d compare it to when you go get your hair done at a salon and try to recreate it yourself the next day with no help. But nonetheless I swaddled her, people unwrapped her to see her hands and feet, (I guess to make sure they were still there,) and I re-swaddled her again.
Being that I’m a short mommy I’m sure she was scrunched pretty tightly in my womb so I wanted her to feel like she was at home. So I did my best to wrap her tightly, but being a first time mom I didn’t know there was a much easier way than folding, using my knees, mouth, elbows and any extra body parts I had available to perform the perfect baby swaddle. Fortunately for my resourcefulness and great word of mouth from other moms, I found Halo. Read More
