Dipe ‘n Go Review

In a dream world Baby C would have rose smelling poop that needed 1 wipe to clean up and only poop in the comfort of our home, but it’s reality folks. If you’re a real mom like me your baby poops whenever and wherever you are, and even occasionally has a fun and exciting diaper blow-out. Now if you don’t know what a blow-out is for diapers then you may want to google it because it can be, well, just plain nasty.

Unfortunately, I’ve had the opportunity to deal with several blow-outs from both girls, which is why I carry an extra set of clothes for both Baby C and myself…because, well you never know! That’s why I love award winning Dipe ‘N Go, because you never know when you’ll need a changing station. Read More

Koala Kuddles Review

There’s a whole lotta swaddling going on lately, between Baby C and a bunch of friends that had babies this Spring and now the new Summer round of sweet babes are here.

At the hospital all you see are rows of cute cherub babies wrapped like tiny burritos in the hospital blankies, most parents want to carry on the swaddling when they arrive home and Koala Kuddles is a great way to carry that on. Read More

Esse Bags Guest Review

Esse BagsWe have another great guest blog post, meet, ELO on the GO! ELO is the wife to a handsome hubby and mom to a beautiful baby girl. Always on the go, ELO loves trying new things and seeing new places. Writing seems to be her thing, so watch out for her new blog, to be debuted late summer 2010.

Lately, I’ve been trying to shrink my footprint – not my actual footprint (but after pregnancy, that wouldn’t be bad either) but, my carbon footprint. I just thought it hasn’t been too becoming lately. So, I decided to head towards greener pastures, the ones with recycled plastics, sustainable resources and biodegradable what nots,. While on my search for all things green, I stumbled upon Esse’s reusable bags, and MommyB. The challenge was simple: try out the bags, and report back with my honest opinion. So with that in mind, here we go… Read More

Modest Middles Guest Review

Please help me welcome guest blogger, Jessica, she is a proud stay at home mother of an almost three year old boy and a brand new daughter. In her spare time (yeah right) she likes to cook, garden, make baby food and maybe raise some hens, if she can convince her husband. She has fun raising her kids in Oak Park, Illinois and has tried out some pretty cool products, her first being Modest Middles.

modest middlesBreast feeding my two children has been one of the most important commitments I have made to them in their lives. The emotional connection I have with them as well as the health benefits for both of us has been wonderful. It is a commitment though!  With my first child, I was very modest and discreet about nursing him. Sometimes I would even go into restrooms to nurse just because I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable. Sitting in a restroom nursing is not the most pleasant especially if they don’t have a “mothers room.” Covering him up with blankets just seemed  like it was too hot (he was born in August). No blanket or “hooter hider” ever covered me enough. I always felt like my wobbly bits were hanging out. Anyone who is a mother knows what areas I’m speaking of – your tummy, your sides and now newly huge breasts full of milk! Let’s not forget to mention the juggling act that has to be preformed when getting your breast OUT of your bra to nurse, then back IN with the nursing pad – with one hand because you still have to hold the baby right? Wait, we are sweating too right? Maybe crying too? Love those hormones!  Or how about us mom’s of toddlers and infants. Ever try chasing a toddler around while nursing? At home it’s okay – in public….. not so much.
Ahhhhhhh…. makes going out tough. Read More

Googly® Bands Review

Googly BandsAre you into the Googly® Band craze?? If not, you should be! Googly® Bands are the hottest collectibles around these days. Personally I’ve seen teens down to toddlers wearing these brightly colored trend addiction and I think it’s a pretty fun and cheap hobby to have.

Googly® Bands are retailing for about $1 for 12 bands at most stores including Walmart and Walgreens this month! Their price is a lot less than other competitors and really if you ask me I don’t see a difference between the Bands/Bandz, so why not collect the ones that are more cost efficient?!?

Trend Addictions Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

Trend Addictions Sometimes it’s hard to be trendy when you’re a mom, well at least for us “real” moms, it takes work. I know for me I didn’t roll out of the hospital maternity ward in the latest fashions, in fact I was happy just to be able to wear my pregnancy clothes while my new mom body took shape.

With this second pregnancy I felt like I was a little more well versed in being a mom who had it more together. I found that a lot of times non-maternity clothes looked best on me. For some reason maternity manufacturers think making your baby bump look bigger is the ultimate goal, well, if you’re like me I didn’t need or want to accentuate the bump, I just wanted to look like a cute mommy with a little bit of fashion sense.

For both my pregnancy and post-pregnancy bodies I turned to Trend Addictions for the latest trends with clothing that would be in style and flatter my body too. Read More
