Protect Your Smile and Enamel Health as You Age

This is a sponsored post on behalf of CVS/pharmacy and Colgate Enamel Health all opinions are my own.

It’s a fact that adult oral care and protecting our enamel is vital for a healthy smile.

There are so many abrasive foods and drinks that wear down our tooth enamel on a daily basis that it’s really important to be mindful of how to maintain our clean, strong smiles.

How to Protect Your Smile and Enamel Health MommyB #healthyteeth #colgatehealthyenamel

As a coffee and soda drinker I love the NEW Colgate Enamel Health toothpaste and toothbrush because together, they help to replenish natural calcium and polish tooth enamel. Healthy enamel doesn’t just look good, it also helps create a smoother surface so germs are less likely to stick as well.

Being an adult undergoing teeth straightening treatment my teeth have also been subject to a lot of wear, so anything I can do to whiten and protect my teeth during and after treatment you can count me in.

It’s easy to shopping for essentials like toothbrushes and toothpaste at my local CVS/pharmacy. I love that it’s not only a convenient one-stop shop for everything my family needs, but CVS also makes it easy to save money just by using your ExtraCare Card. With ExtraCare, you’ll earn 2% back on your purchases, {paid out quarterly in the form of ExtraBucks}.

If you’ve been a long-time reader you’ll know I’m someone who loves to write about oral health and saving money, both important things to keep our homes and families healthy and happy.

I’d love for one lucky MommyBKnowsBest.com reader to win their own Colgate Enamel Health prize pack featuring the 360 Enamel Health Toothbrush and Colgate Enamel Health Toothpaste.

Back to School Routine Must Haves for Mom

This is a sponsored post in partnership with The Motherhood.

The kids are in school, now what?? After months of unscheduled days and silly fun, both my girls are in school and that means it’s time for schedules and routines. If you’re Type-A like me these words are like music to your ears, but if it’s not your personality to be scheduled it doesn’t have to be a scary word. Here are some great tips for refreshing and re-energizing your routine in preparation for this new school year, or Back to School Routine Must Haves for Mom.

Back to School Routine Must Haves for Moms #moms4jnjconsumer MommyB

Here are some of my favorite tips and products to help me stay in the routine of taking better care of myself now that my kiddos are in school.

1. Get to bed sleepy head! I’m still working on this. Being more rested doesn’t only benefit your children {think not having to deal with grouchy mom all day}, but it has so many health benefits it’s definitely at the top of my list.

2. Drink more water. You knew this was coming didn’t you?!? Hydration is so important, and I’m looking at myself when I say this, busy moms need to make sure we’re not neglecting ourselves, which means drinking water throughout the day. Drink More Water #moms4jnjconsumer 3. Create or rejuvenate your skin care regime. If you’re like me you get a little lax in the Summer months with skin care. These amazing new products help reviatlize your skin and make it easy and affordable too.

Find a great face wash/scrub that you love and be sure to wash your face before bed. I heart AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. This scrub’s microbeads are not super abrasive but strong enough to even out my skin tone and helps my skin feel more fresh.

As a family we use LUBRIDERM® Daily Moisture Lotion to stay moisturized all over. I personally love it because it’s Fragrance-Free and does a really great job moisturizing my dry skin. Plus, it’s clinically shown to moisturize for 24 hours, so a great tip would be to apply this to rough patches AND feet before bed and enjoy “round the clock” moisturizing.

Let’s take care of those wrinkles with RoC® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream. If you haven’t heard of RoC® products I’d be pretty surprised. They’ve made quite the name for themselves in the beauty industry. The results that come from RoC® are clinically proven and the results speak for themselves visibly reducing even deep wrinkles after 12 weeks’ use.

4. Surround yourself with people who will be supportive. Create or help create a scheduled mom’s night with friends, and moms from your child’s class. These nights out may provide sanity for you and if nothing else you’re getting away and able to share your challenges, and successes.

5. Save some money on things you already buy and use the extra to pamper yourself. Head over to the Healthy Essentials website and find more than $40 in savings on great products featured on the site: HealthyEssentials.com

While you’re there, check out some of these great savings:

• Save on some of the following: JOHNSON’S® Baby NO MORE TANGLES® or Extra Conditioning hair care products, AVEENO® products, RoC® Anti-Aging products, NEUTROGENA® Cleansing, Moisture, or Acne products, SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener products, VISINE® products, LISTERINE® products, or

10 Surefire Ways to Get Me To Smile

I don’t know about you, but I’m a naturally smiley person. I proudly wear my “smile wrinkles” as a badge that I have lots to smile about. Though I’m smiling more than half the time, here are 10 Sure Fire Ways to Get Me to Smile {perhaps some of these work for you too}.

  1. Sweet letters from my husband
  2. Hugs from my kids
  3. Hanging out with fun friends
  4. Having deep conversations with family. The ones where I learn more about them or find a connection that we have never had are the best.
  5. Almost any Adam Sandler movie
  6. Thinking about all the exciting adventures we will have in our new home
  7. A delicious icy coffee drink
  8. Thinking about how blessed I am and being able to bless others through giving back
  9. Organizing almost anything {especially closets and drawers}
  10. Knowing my teeth look great and my breath is fresh

Now that my removable dental appliances are correcting my smile my teeth look and feel great but cleaning them isn’t always easy.

I was so excited to hear about Fresh Guard™ products because I’ve been struggling with keeping my removable dental appliances smelling fresh and feeling clean.

NEW Fresh Guard By Efferdent Removable Dental Appliance Cleaner MommyB

Fresh Guard is specially formulated for retainers, mouthguards and removable braces. It delivers a Complete Clean – 1) prevents the build-up of mouth film for a clean feel, 2) removes odor-causing bacteria for a fresh and clean smell, and 3) reduces yellowing and helps remove stains for a clean look.

I was able to try out both Fresh Guard™ products; Fresh Guard™ by Efferdent Soak, and Fresh Guard™ by Efferdent Wipes.

I have to say I really like both products.

I used the Fresh Guard™ by Efferdent Wipes when I was on-the-go with my girls and it saved me from having to put my removeable dental appliance in with dirty teeth. I loved the minty taste and the discrete size of the wipe package.

The Fresh Guard™ by Efferdent Soak is GREAT for times when my removable dental appliance needs a deep cleaning. I love that the soak changes color to signify they are clean (after about 5 minutes of soaking). The soak does have a slight chemical smell, but really does the trick of cleaning otherwise filmy and smelly removable dental appliances.

Check out this video to see why Fresh Guard by Efferdent Soak is great for removable dental appliances.

Make sure you get your savings HERE.

Fresh Guard™ is specially formulated to clean mouth guards, retainers, and clear braces. Fresh Guard™ Soak kills 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria in just 5 minutes while Fresh Guard™  Wipes offer a convenient on-the-go cleaning solution with no water needed. Visit Fresh Guard™ for more information, store locator and coupons!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Fresh Guard™. I received promotional items and Fresh Guard™ products in exchange for my participation. The opinions and text are mine.

Why I Will Never Flush My Toilet Again

Why I will NEVER Flush My Toilet Again MommyB

A momentous occasion is upon us, the moment I realized I never want to flush my toilet again. Seriously. I’m tired of grabbing the germy handle and flushing, tired of thinking what kinds of viruses et al. may be on the “flusher” {and yes I am a stage 1 germaphobe.}

All of my life I never knew the joys of not flushing until I was introduced to Kohler. Two words: Game changer. Game changer folks!

Recently Kohler sent me some of their newest technologies for toilets {bet you didn’t know toilets had technology right?!?!} and I got to test it out in our new home. How cool!

Kohler Touchless Flush Kit

Kohler’s Touchless Toilet Flush Kit was so easy to install. I followed the convenient video on their website using my iPad and had it installed in around 20 minutes. Our toilet cover was a little different than the one featured in the video, but was very easy to figure out how to install. I ended up making a minor adjustment to the height of the no touch sensor that is mounted inside the toilet bowl and voila!

I really love this product because:

  • The sensor makes cleaning a little easier since I’m not having to disinfect the handle.
  • The kids love the novelty and I love that their hands are staying that much cleaner! I seriously wish these were in every toilet I come across, I’m ruined.
  • I also don’t have to worry as much about maintenance because there’s no handle to loosen as time goes by with all the flushing we do.

We’ve only confused a couple of guests so far, but the hand sticker that is provided in the kit gives guests the gist.

Kohler Flushless Toilet Kit

The kit comes with the no touch sensor, a pull chain, a handle plug, a no touch indicator sticker, pad stickers for toilet lid, 4 AA batteries, and a sensor mount. You don’t need to purchase anything extra because the kit has everything you need, however the kit isn’t compatible with all toilets, so be sure to check and see if your model works with the Touchless Flush Kit, if it is head to the Kohler website for install videos and see how easy it is to install for yourself.

Kohler Touchless Flush Kit Toilet Types

Pricing and Availability

The kit is $99.97 is listed for purchase on Kohler.com, you can find a store near you with their “Where to Buy” link. Kohler also sells toilet bowls with the touchless technology as well if you are in the market for a brand new toilet.

Now this isn’t something I think every family needs, but if you have the extra money and are wondering where to spend it, just for the cleanliness and potentially lower rate of illness in your home I would spend it on this kit. It’s a great product that you can tell will hold up with time and is super low maintenance {changing the batteries maybe 1 time a year on average} once the kit is installed.

Other Game Changing Kohler Products

Kohler also has a seat with nightlight technology and a seat perfect for transitioning little kids to the big potty with a built-in child-size potty seat. Plus their seats feature technology that prevents slamming the seats, my favorite feature of all!

I would definitely recommend this kit and after some other home projects have been tackled would love to install this product in each of our toilets in our new home.

How about you? What technologies could you use in your home?

I received product from Kohler in order to provide a hands-on review. I was not compensated or obligated to write this post and all opinions and thoughts are my own honest words.

10 Things I Heart about Summer

Have you been soaking in the summer? The girls, DaddyB, and I have been enjoying our summer moments although Miss A returns to school in less than a month. Crazy right!??! Here are 10 Things I Heart about Summer:

10 Things I Heart about Summer MommyB

1. Ooey Gooey yummy S’mores – though we have yet to enjoy one of these summer staples we’ve had fun checking out recipes online, and talking about how each member of our family likes their marshmallows cooked. (I’m a golden brown gal.)

2. on the flipside we also like Healthy Snacks like CVS/pharmacy’s new Gold Emblem Abound line. They have yummy raw almonds that our whole family enjoys, Fruit & Nut Fiber Trail Mix and more and best of all they’re free of artificial preservatives and flavors. I’m also loving Bear Naked bars that I recently found in Target, so yummy and all-natural ingredients.

Things I love about Summer MommyB

3. We love visiting Local Museums and Attractions year-round, but especially in the summer because there are some pretty cool new exhibits. Discovery Place has Alien Worlds & Androids and, Sea Life Charlotte-Concord has their new Serpents of the Seas exhibit, both are included in the price of admission.

10 Things I Hear about Summer Science & Museums MommyB

4. Speaking of museums, we’re also loving science projects! My little science lovers and I have been busy making perfume, edible science experiments, playing with dry ice, and checking out STEMpowerkids subscription kits.

STEMpowerkids kit Summer MommyB

5. With the move we’ve been making a few purchases for our home office, living room and girls schoolroom {aka kids’ office}. One place we’ve almost literally been living at is Ikea (some for item returns and some for purchases). The girls also tried Small Land the last time we went (being overprotective parents we were a little apprehensive, but they had a blast and we were able to zip around the store and get what we needed, super convenient.) During our Ikea trips we also spotted Hobby Lobby which I had seen at other locations but assumed it was a craft store so never wandered in. Let me tell you I love the home decor and the girls found these GINORMOUS flowers that are way cool, we’re considering putting some in their playroom, but don’t tell the girls!!

10 Things I heart about Summer Ikea & Hobby Lobby

6. Though it hasn’t been as hot as last summer (even though there’s still time here in the Carolinas), it’s been a little muggy here and there so keeping cool is definitely on our things we love about summer and there are lots of ways to keep cool this summer. If you need to replenish electrolytes check out PowerIce (sort of like frozen Gatorade), for the healthy families you will want to grab Ruby Rockets ice pops that are made with veggies and fruits (your kids may need to get used to the different taste, but just like anything that’s healthy they’re a great alternative to the sugars, and dyes in other ice pops. Aside from frozen treats, we also love letting the kids run through the sprinklers, going to the pool, and bringing our Arctic Cove personal cooling misters. We took our manual mister to the 4th of July festivities and I was super impressed with how easy it was to use and how cool it kept our entire family, plus the price on these are awesome!

Cold Treats for Summer MommyB

7. Iced coffee is my favorite in summer, although who are we kidding, I like iced coffee in the winter too. I’m not a huge hot drink drinker are you?? I have heard there are two local places that rock the caffeine flavor (and I have yet to try myself): Cabbarus Creamery has great coffee ice cream and King of Pops has some cool coffee ice pops too.

Iced Coffee Frappe Summer MommyB

8. This one isn’t quite for the entire family but I’m loving the new beauty products that are out this summer, specifically the natural lines. My favorites are  Greenplicity, california naturel, and Soapbox.

Greenplicity has awesome products made from food-grade materials. We love, love, love the citrus cocoa lotion bar (Miss A loves the smell), it’s safe for kids and easy to apply, and the body butter is awesome as well and has lavender scent, great for bedtime.

california naturel is a line inspired by…you guessed it, California; sun, sand, and sea. They have great skin care products, but my favorite is the sunscreen. My only wish is that they would have something without Zinc Oxide since Lil’ C is allergic, but I’ve found it difficult to find especially in natural products.

I love Soapbox products for many reasons, but number one being that they are a brand that gives back. Soapbox is what I would call a one-for-one company like Toms, but they partner with homeless shelters, food pantries, and orphanages and give back soap, water development, vitamins to save lives. Not to mention their products are made in America, 100% recyclable packaging, Paraben free, Sulfate free, Gluten free and the list goes on. I really, truly heart this brand! (I hope you will too.)

9. Friends! People are very important to us and though we’ve moved and don’t get to see certain people as often as we’d like, we still love hanging out and keeping in touch with “old” friends. We also love making new friends, which we are doing quite a bit of with the move and new schools coming up in August. So blessed to have some amazing people in our lives and watch the girls form friendships independently as well.

Summer with Friends MommyB

10. Going on roadtrips!!! We love to travel, although this year, with the move to our new house we knew we wouldn’t be traveling as much as last Summer with Myrtle Beach, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, going to the beach with my mom and sister, visiting Historic Williamsburg, and the list goes on! We’ve actually been pretty quiet and exploring our own little area, we visited downtown Concord (North Carolina) last weekend and love the little shops and eclectic variety of people there. We also hope to make another trip to Tweetsie Railroad before school starts, but if not before the season ends.

There you have it, some of the things I heart about summer! What do you like best about summer? Any favorite memories or traditions? Products that you love? Trips that you’re headed on?? Can’t wait to hear!!!

This is not a sponsored post, I was not paid by any of the companies or brands listed above however I have received some of the above products to review at my discretion and any opinions given on the products are my own honest thoughts.

Tips for Having an Intentional Summer

This is a sponsored post on behalf of The Motherhood.

Like many families do, our family packed up our belongings and moved into a new home. Though we’re on the other side of “town” and only 30 minutes from our old house, it’s almost like we’re in a new state. We’re not familiar with the parks, don’t know the best farmer’s markets to go to, haven’t got a clue what the best summer camps are. One thing we do know though is that even though we have a lot of unpacking and settling to do, we want our girls to have an intentional summer.

What does intentional summer mean for our family? It looks a little something like this:

Tips for an Intentional Summer MommyB

My nature is to unpack and make sure everything has a home and designated spot, but the longer I’m a mom the more I realize that I want these beautiful girls to have a fun and memorable childhood. That includes spending time with friends, and creating family traditions.

Here are some of the tips I’ve used this busy summer to make sure we’re being intentional:

1. Create a Summer Bucket List with a variety of activities to complete throughout the summer.

2. Vary your play, choose one water play day, one outdoor play, one indoor play day and theme them as well.

3. Be spontaneous (I know a Type-A personality saying this, but I’ve really had to step out of my personality to make sure my kids enjoy themselves), go for ice cream before dinner, pop into a kids play place with no notice. You’ll be surprised at how impactful of a memory this will be with your children later on in life as well.

4. Let them choose an activity or destination. Giving your children the power of choice will not only be really exciting, but it will also give them confidence in making decisions.

5. Play safe and be proactive. I am “one of those moms”, you know the ones who carry a big bag (not a diaper bag anymore but still a considerable size) with everything imaginable in them? I am certain I would win if I were on the game show “Let’s Make a Deal!” by pulling out something random that almost no human carries on their person. That’s what’s great though, when the girls scrape a knee while playing hopscotch at a friends house or are playing in the water I’m armed with the right mom gear to make sure we can keep the fun going.

Teaching Kids to Cartwheel, Handspring, and More at Little Gym Summer Camps

Little Gym of Huntersville & Lake Norman
This post is in partnership with The Little Gym of Huntersville/LKN.

Do you or your kiddo ever wish they could learn one skill like cartwheeling? I’ve mentioned before I’m the Mombassador for The Little Gym Huntersville – Lake Norman and Miss A and Lil C have enjoyed each of their classes and have been in classes for several years. I love that the classes give my girls well-rounded skills in all areas of gymnastics from balance to teamwork, and am excited that this year Little Gym is focusing on specific skills.

This summer, Little Gym of Huntersville – Lake Norman is offering several summer sessions for your children {ages 6-12 years old} to grow in different areas of their gymnastics.

Little Gym Skill Thrill and Super Kids Small

Here they are:

Caribbean Cartwheels & Hawaiian Handstands June 24th & June 26th

Cartwheels and Handstands are the “gateway skills” that will lead the beginning/intermediate level gymnast toward learning Round-Offs, Back Handsprings, Front Handsprings , and more!  Because Cartwheels and Handstands are both “upside down” skills, they do wonders for building your child’s upper body and core strength, too!  Learning and perfecting Cartwheels and Handstands are a “must” for young gymnasts!  A “Caribbean/Hawaiian” side theme will add a fun tropical twist to the week!

Back Handspring Bonanza July 15th & July 17th

This Skill Thrill Camp is perfect for those kids who are ready to learn the Back Handspring!  It’s also great for those kids who have learned a Back Handspring – but are ready for more advanced Back Handspring variations, i.e. Round-Off, Back Handsprings; Round-Off Back Handspring-Back Handspring; and more!  A three hour “Back Handspring Bonanza”!  What could be more fun?

Front Handspring Festival July 29th & July 31st

This Skill Thrill Camp is perfect for those kids who have learned their handstand – and are ready to move to the next step – a “Front Handspring”!  This camp is also great for kids who can do this skill by themselves – but just need some repetition and practice to solidify their technique and confidence.  This Front Handspring Festival will also be an “Upper Body Fitness Festival” of sorts – as handstands and front handsprings are a great way to exercise the muscles of the arms, shoulders, chest and back!

Amazing Aerials August 12th & August 14th

Is it possible to do a “no-handed cartwheel”?  YES – this skill is called an “Aerial”!  While advanced-level gymnasts may be perfecting their aerial or learning to link their aerial to other skills, beginning and intermediate gymnasts will have the opportunity to grow their cartwheels as they journey through the many skill progressions to learn the intricacies of this exciting skill.  This Skill Thrill Camp may be just the thing for those kids who are “THAT CLOSE” to doing their aerial by themselves!  This week may just do the trick!

Gluten Free – Cosmos Creations Snacks {Guest Review}

One of the things I’ve learned as a mom of a toddler is to always carry a snack with you wherever you go. I try to look for portable snacks for my daughter that are also healthy too, so I was excited to test out these “premium puffed corn” snacks made by Cosmo Creations. I tested out 3 flavors: Sea Salt & Butter, Aged Cheddar & Cracked Pepper, and Coconut Crunch

Cosmos Creation Snacks MommyB

The Good

[checklist]

  • Non-GMO Corn– Genetically modified foods has become a huge health peril in today’s society, so its refreshing to see a product with non-GMO ingredients
  • Gluten Free– I have several friends with gluten intolerance, so being madewithout gluten allows more people to consume the product.
  • Less than 100 calories– You’ve all seen those 100 calorie snack packs on the shelf. These even have less calories than that, ranging from 60-90 calories per package.
  • Flavor– The flavors of the Sea Salt & Butter, as well as the Coconut Crunch were very pleasant. The texture of the Butter flavor reminded me of a light rice cake, whereas the coconut crunch was like a hybrid between crunchy cereal and a macaroon. Both were quite addicting and my daughter enjoyed the snack as much as I did!
  • Availability– According to the company website (cosmoscreations.com),  they are currently sold in Sam’s Clubs around the US and other retailers and expanding. You can do a search on their website for the closest retailer to you.
  • Portability– The individual serving size bags are perfect to throw in a purse orlunch box!

[/checklist]

The Bad

[badlist]

  • Salt– The Aged Cheddar & Black Pepper flavor has 160mg of sodium, and honestly all I could taste was the salt. As a person who likes cheddar popcorn products, I was disappointed with how the salt overwhelmed the flavor.
  • No Artificial Ingredients?– The label promotes “no artificial ingredients”, but the Aged Cheddar flavor has over 20 ingredients and includes things like “cheese powders” and disodium phosphate. By definition, no artificial ingredients means nothing was synthetically processed, but I’ve learned that this doesn’t make it automatically healthy or natural.
  • Sugar– While the coconut crunch tasted great, it was very sweet. As a mom, I like to watch how much sugar I give my child, and 2 out of the first 4 ingredients in the coconut crunch flavor is sugary substances- cane sugar and corn syrup.

[/badlist]

Overall

Generally speaking, I liked this product. While it raises some red flags if we are nit-picking ingredients and nutrition labels, they are doing a lot of things right to make this a solid product. It is a really good option for kids as an alternative to chips or even beloved fish crackers. Its equally a good, low calorie snack option for adults, one that tastes good and is actually quite addicting.

What are your favorite gluten free snacks?

I received review samples in order to provide you with my honest opinion on the products and fully test them out. All opinions written in this post are my own, honest thoughts. Your opinions may vary.

Not So Much – Things I Don’t Like and Their Replacements

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have a nagging cough and went to the doctor to find out that I had a severe ear infection and was on the verge of a double ear infection, blerg. With the help of some medicine and much needed rest I am feeling better, but that also meant less time to work.

Today I’m starting a new kind of post, a lot of people ask me why I don’t write more about things I don’t like. There are actually a lot of products, and things in general that I’m not a huge fan of, but usually I don’t take the time to write them because I enjoy writing about the things I DO like more and would rather give them the spotlight on my website. But since you asked, straight up, here are a few things that I have to say, “Not So Much” to, but also what I do like {I can’t help myself}:

Not So Much MommyB

Reverie pillow – This pillow is said to be one of the more comfortable pillows and while it’s great that it’s hypoallergenic and has some neat features, the most important feature, comfort, was lacking. Both DaddyB and I found the pillow to be much too firm for us even after weeks of use. If you like a REALLY firm pillow though this will be right up your alley. What I DO like however is sleep, luckily I’ve been able to get a little more of that than I’m used to with this cold.

Paperwork – For those of you who may not know, we are moving (staying in the greater Charlotte and surrounding area), but we are excited to look for a new house, however this means lots of paperwork for loan approval and also it’s tax season so making sure we have receipts, logging into accounts, and getting all of our ducks in a row has certainly been tedious. Lucky for me DaddyB has been in charge of the paperwork and staying up late to get things taken care of. So the great side to all this paperwork is that God has an awesome new neighborhood and home in store for us and I have much appreciation for my husband through this experience.

Discovery Place’s 101 Inventions Exhibit –  While we did have fun in the hands-on section (although I would have loved more of this) of this new exhibit at Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC, we felt that our girls (almost ages 4 and 7) were a little too young for the content (birth control, sperm) and there were parts of the exhibit that scared Lil’ C (darkness and music). DaddyB did enjoy the exhibit, but feels like he didn’t get as much info in the time we had as he wanted. I know a few people who took children and did NOT enjoy their experience, one mom even asked for her money back. Because this exhibit is not included in museum admission I would personally say skip this one. I do however like Discovery Place museums. When we left the 101 Inventions exhibit my girls had a BLAST, like usual, in the rest of the museum testing out science and math skills, playing tug-of-war with DaddyB, and I must say in defense of Discovery Place, we’ve been to a couple other exhibits in the past that we have loved.

Toxic things – For this I’m lumping in things and people. I’m super guilty of putting things in my body that aren’t healthy {maybe you can relate}, and lately have been studying more homeopathic styles of living and also Ph Balance with the help of some friends. Often times I know and can feel the acidity or “hot” nature of my body after I ingest something and can see that there are easy fixes, I’m excited to post some things here that may help you out too. As for toxic people, a while ago I mentioned this being my year of intentional living and making changes for the better, I can say that I’ve been more mindful in my relationships and growing the ones I see that are healthy, supportive, and uplifting for me and leaving behind some that were toxic and still present themselves to be toxic. Choosing what’s best for myself and my family to grow closer to God and become more like Christ means leaving things that can’t be changed behind.

Cancer – Unfortunately it feels like this season of life that I’m going through right now is riddled with illness. Recently, Heaven gained an angel in Super Carter, whose family is amazing and was very close in age to Lil’ C. And since I’ve learned of friends that I went to school, both high school and college with that have family members who, too, are dealing with cancer. While I know it’s not always an immediate comfort, my family and these families have chosen to turn to God to give them strength to get through each day. I am constantly encouraged by attitude and faith that these people have.

While I know this was a VERY interesting mix of things I am not loving right now it’s all from my heart, the good and bad.

What are some things that you’re not a fan of right now? What are you replacing that bad thing with or what good can come out of it?

I received a samples and admission to some of the above mentioned products and events. This in no way affects the opinions expressed in this post. All thoughts expressed are my own, yours may vary.
