I’m not one of those super earthy moms, I didn’t have a midwife (no offense to anyone who is or did, that’s just not me), but I am a nursing mom. I never nursed Miss A in public, I’m not really sure why not, maybe because it was all new to me, I used a blanket to cover myself at home and stayed away from public places at feeding times.
I used to be extremely discrete about nursing, (and pretty discrete in general) and love that it’s a bonding experience between me and baby. Because there are so many people in public settings I don’t enjoy feeding my babies in public, when I had the choice. Now that I have a 3.5 year old, who’s very active I’m just not able to have that quiet time all the time to nurse. I can’t expect Miss A to sit in a changing room or in my car for 30 minutes expecting her to behave, and it’s just not fair to keep her in the house all the time. So I suck up my worries and I nurse Baby C in public. I’m sure it probably bothers some of my friends a little and makes strangers a tad uneasy, but I’m feeding my baby and nothing more.Since I am a pretty “shy nurser,” if you will. I find things that will help me to nurse easier, like nursing bras, nursing tops, and nursing covers. Recently, I received the BabyBond™ Breastfeeding Accessory.
BabyBond™ iParenting Award winning patented designs are products of Slurp & Burp, LLC and come in three different styles, Original, Flex, and Couture. The differences between the three styles are small, but depend on your personal preferences and needs.
I got to try out the BabyBond Couture™, it is adjustable and changes with my body as I will it to shrink *LOL* It’s kind of a mix between nursing top and belly band so you can really wear it anytime you want. The cool thing too is that you can wear it from the top or bottom of your shirt so it works with almost ever shirt I own! The BabyBond Couture™ also rolls up into a self-storing pouch, so it doesn’t take up lots of space in my diaper bag.
I love the durability and softness of the fabric and the fact that BabyBond Couture™ is made in the USA. While I get a little nervous about Baby C pulling off, because she’s totally at that age where she gets distracted by EVERYTHING when nursing, I don’t have to worry about having her pull my standard nursing cover off with grabby hands exposing me completely.
I would definitely recommend this to moms who are super comfortable nursing their child in public and the moms who are still getting used to the idea. It’s great to try it out at home, figure out your “techniques” and then live, there’s no reason that nursing should make you feel like you can’t go about your normal day and hopefully the BabyBond™ can help you achieve that for you and your baby.
Buy your BabyBond™ Nursing Accessory here: http://babybondnursing.com for $35 totally worth the price since most nursing covers cost more than that!
